Teen Titans

Like I've said before, the 2003 series and the current Young Justice series are not only closer to the comics, but are much more popular as well.

There are so many characters they could use in this movie, who knows what they'll do? I think the best route would be to mix those two shows to have something like this on screen.

Dick Grayson/Robin/Nightwing
Wally West/Kid Flash
Cyborg
Donna Troy/Wonder Girl
Beast Boy
Starfire
Raven

Introduce Superboy, Miss Martian, and others in the sequels.

^That lineup for the first movie would be perfect. I wasnt sure about Kid Flash but i guess having Wally West would be pretty cool. Wally as the teen and Barry Allen in JL as the adult like around 30 years old.

The Line-Up should be:

Nightwing
Starfire
Cyborg
Raven
and possibly Beastboy

With Teen Titans you can and should keep the team smaller than Justice League, and i don't want the team to be just of a pair of sidekicks. If the movie got a sequel then they could bring Terra and the Judas Contract storyline.

Agreed. I wouldn't be comfortable with Terra in the original line-up.

I have some casting suggestions for Dick Grayson.

Aaron Johnson(22 years old,5'11), my favorite for the role

Logan Lerman(20 years old,5'9)

Any one of those two would be fantastic. Goodness, it's really raising the bar for me regarding any other potential castings.

Aaron Johnson may not want to do the role due to his being the star of Kick-Ass and it's upcoming sequel.

I like Logan Lerman, but I don't think he has it in him to be Dick Grayson.

The problem is, Johnson is too old to be Robin and Lerman looks too young to be Nightwing.

Still going with Johnson.

Honestly, a Teen Titans/Young Justice movie would just make me ask why they weren't funneling that money into a Justice League movie (or sequel, at this point I think the movie is going to be made whether we think it's a good idea or not) and the inevitable spin-offs.

Leave that stuff as a cartoon, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini are better at making that stuff compelling anyway. They made me care about third-string superheros like Booster Gold, for goodness' sake.

I'm personally looking at a Teen Titans movie as a spin-off to the upcoming Justice League movie.

Same here.

Nightwing is a must. The rest is a wash. They'll probably make a group that mirrors the JLA.

The 1st movie:

Robin
Cyborg
Starfire
Raven
Kid Flash (Wally West)
Wonder Girl

The superhero version of "Friends"! :cwink:

I love that line up but I would switch BB with Raven. Ravens origin set up could a potential villain like Trigon or Brother Blood and IMO that better suits a sequel.

Plus BB could be a Star Labs buddy with Cyborg.

That'd be fine. It would end her suggestion to be Wonder Woman.

lerman would be a perfect robin.

i think someone mentioned ezra miller earlier, i think he'd be good as well.

would anyone be opposed to having both robin (tim) and nightwing?

How about Brant Daughtery as Superboy/Kon-El/Conner Kent?

Replace Tim and Cassie with Dick and Donna and add Wally. Then this is PERFECT for tone and design.

I'd rather se the Teen Titans consist of Robin, Superboy, Kid Flash, Cyborg, etc you can make a mix of new and old u don't have to follow the comics exactly look at Young Justice they're practically the Teen Titans and been a Superman fan I'd rather have Superboy involved you can even do it without using Superman etc all you have to do is reference it everything can be explained.

Cyborg and Robin were on the Super Powers Team cartoon in the 80s.

The Teen Titans cartoon in 2003-2007 featured Cyborg, Robin, Starfire, Beastboy, and Raven
Same lineup that is coming back for the new cartoon Tiny Titans (or something).

Young Justice originally featured Robin, Superboy, Miss Martian, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Artemis, Zatanna, and Rocket (as well as members like Captain Marvel and Red Arrow)
then later added Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Bumble Bee (I think her name is), Lagoon Boy, Nightwing, Impulse, and others.

Cyborg also was on the JLA cartoon movie recently.
And Dick Grayson/Robin has been in countless things from the Adam West tv show, to the Batman movies, and the Timm cartoon show, and Brave and the Bold (that also featured Aqualad and Speedy).

Wonder Girl was on the Wonder Woman tv show at one point right?

And right now in the comics (New 52) the Titans are: Red Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, and 2-3 characters I don't know.
While Beast Boy is now on a team called the Ravagers (I think they are called).
Starfire is in Red Hood and the Outlaws.
And Cyborg is now a permanent member of the Justice League (and apparently has been for over 5 years now, and never was a Titan).

I think whoever is used on the team all this will be taken into account. Who does the audience know from others shows? Who is the most popular? And who is on the team in the current cartoon? And who is on the team in the current comics right now?

I think its safe to say we will see a Robin on the team, probably a Superboy too, and a Wonder Girl, and probably a Kid Flash, but I don't think we will see Cyborg or Beast Boy or Raven or Starfire, unfortunately. If DC brings back the new Aqualad from the comics (who inspired the new Aqualad in the cartoons) I think he might show up in the movie too.

I think Robin,Kid Flash,Wonder Girl, and Cyborg are locks.

I'm not so sure about Kid Flash & Wonder Girl as "locks". I think that depends on..

A) when they'll make this movie
B) if it's in continuity with the upcoming series or not and if they want multiple/younger Flash's & Wonder Women.

I think Cyborg and Robin would be the only true locks. With a debate on whether to include Donna Troy/Wally West OR Raven/Starfire/Beast Boy. Or if they should include all of them.

As it looks, to me, currently, Cyborg is in the Justice League (and has been set up as always being a member) and is not in Young Justice or the Teen Titans comics. And in the comics they have set up that it just started so its always been Red Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl (not Donna), Kid Flash (Bart), and three others I do not know.
It would make sense to put their most popular characters into the movie, like Dick Grayson as Nightwing and Cyborg, but it also makes sense to follow the comic more so that fans wont go out looking for a comic and get confused. Why put characters into the movie who aren't in the current comic?
It will probably end up being like the Avengers or X-Men, where it sort of follows the comics but has its own continuity separate from the comics and cartoons. So we could see a mix and mash of characters. But I still think we wont get Cyborg, but he could end up in the Justice league movies instead of Martian Manhunter (who is going to be in the new JLA comic, so he could still end up in the movie too.)
Donna Troy however is not in the comics and not in the cartoon, if she doesn't show up in the next few years (like say they start making it in two years, and she isn't in anything) they might not use her because she has been absent for too long from any medium.
Wally is Kid Flash in Young Justice but doesn't exist in the comics anymore. So he might not get used because of that. Raven hasn't shown up either has she in the New 52?

What if the line up was
Tim Drake as Red Robin,
Super Boy (clone),
Kid Flash (Bart),
Aqualad (from the cartoon),
Wonder Girl (Cassie),
Artemis (cartoon),

Does the JLA movie need to come out first? For this film to make sense? What if they do this film but are unable to show any characters like Batman or Superman? Will this film suffer?

That's where the problem lies rely, can you just explain why they're not in the film but still have their presence be felt? I'm not sure.

I think Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are the ones who would need to be in this and those are the three I think WBs wouldn't want in it. Only way around it for me is if they're already an established team and we're not seeing how they came together but even then I think you'd need cameos from the big 3. This is the reason if we ever see this it won't be until after Justice League.

Btw I like that line-up you posted I'd imagine if they did a Teen Titans they'd probably go with a small YJ line-up and/or something similar to the comics line-up. Infact look at the TT New 52 origin they got away with not using Superman and Batman didn't they? I'd have said Wonder Woman aswell but I can't remember haven't read it for ages.

I didn't read the New 52 Titans stuff, how did they do it? Because the only origin stuff I know about is the old ones and the cartoons.
They were sidekicks who wanted to go out on their own and spread their wings. In recent stuff they were young heroes who needed to socialize and be around other young heroes so that they could commiserate and see they weren't alone sort of thing. In the cartoon it was young heroes trying to prove they could do things on their own. But all the stories you sort of have to include the Justice League.

Oh, and if Martian Manhunter does end up in the JL film because of the direction the comics are taking, I could see Miss Martian in the film too. And maybe Cyborg playing the part Red Tornado was playing in the cartoon. Sort of their tech support and their JLA connection/babysitter,
