Its been a great decade in cbm and in cbtv. Robert Meyer Burnett pointed out that it was the decade which showed what is possible and what could be done.
Its amazing to think we've had everything from:
Character pieces in Joker and Logan
Box office hits such as GOTG, Deadpool, and Aquaman,
Sweeping epics such as The Dark Knight Rises, X Men Days of Future Past, Avengers Infinity War and Endgame,
Spiderman's fall with the ASM series, then rise with the incorporation into the MCU,
Films like Wonder Woman and Black Panther becoming international sensations ,
Black Pather being the first superhero film to be nominated for best picture and Into the Spiderverse winning best animated film.
On tv, we saw the birth of the Arrowverse and the introduction of Grant Gustin's Flash, Melissa Benoist's Supergirl, Cress Williams Black Lightining, and of course, Stephen Amell's Green Arrow into the pantheon of highly praised superhero portrayals setting the standard for actors going forward.
The decade will end in the historic DC crisis on infinite earths crossover paying homage to 50 years of DC tv and film.
As a fanboy, its been a great decade in entertainment. Maybe the best imo in terms of the amount of content, the popularity, and the acceptance and embrace by the mainstream of several of these characters and stories.
