Zhang Yimou's The Great Wall (Matt Damon)

Somehow I missed the news that Zhang Yimou was directing this instead of Ed Zwick, so my interest has suddenly increased tenfold.

Universal is pushing The Great Wall to 2017.

The Matt Damon-starrer, which was originally slated to hit theaters on Nov 23, 2016, will now be released on February 17 of the following year.

The Legendary project is directed by House of Flying Daggers helmer Zhang Yimou and tells the story of an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world’s most iconic structure.

The Great Wall
also stars Pedro Pascal, Tian Jing, Andy Lau and Willem Dafoe.

Boooooo I was looking forward to seeing that. More for that guy from EXO than Damon tbh

Deadpool changed everything for Feb release dates (sorry Kingsman and 50 Shades)

Hmm, maybe the monster in this movie will show up at the end Kong vs Godzilla, Wonder Woman style!

this is going to be HI-larious

will watch just for Pedro.

It looks fine.

I just hope the monster retain that look that you see in ancient Chinese art (and restaurants, hehe). Bulgy eyes, colorful, and mammal like. Like them guard dog/lions. Or how the Chinese Dragon has whiskers, and floats about with no wings.

i love the colors in this movie its what i always love about asian cinema is they are not afraid of vibrant costumes like this

Not much information in the trailer but I bet the finished product will be gorgeous looking
