I am in. BUT... No Murray. That's already been played. I say they need to have a new unexpected celebrity cameo.

For years I always thought that the ZL sequel should go into BEYOND THUNDERDOME territory and have them find a chunk of civilization that's being ruled by some celeb. My choice was always Will Ferrell but a Ferrell that's playing it totally straight as a tyrannical ruler, just that, ya'know... It's actually Will Ferrell.

I like it, and I agree on no Bill Murray. As good as his cameo was in the first movie, it should be someone new.

I really like that idea. Will Ferrel becoming a tyrant in the apocalypse would indeed be hilarious. I'm most interested to see how they handle the time gap. The three adult leads haven't changed a ton, but Abigail Breslin...

I would guess that Breslin would pick up a romantic partner of some kind. Now as for Woody?

My other fan casting was that similar to Thunderdome there's a rival power in the slice of civilization that our main cast comes across. Vying against Ferrell is another celeb. The best Zombie killer in town... Courtney Love. She's worked with Woody before so we know they have chemistry. Plus... She's already bat **** crazy so it's easy to buy her as a freaked out survivor of the zombie apocalypse.

Here is also what to expect in the sequel as we have some plot details to share as well.

The group will face a new zombie threat as a new breed of zombie has developed. This new super-zombie type is faster, bigger, and stronger than the previous strain of zombies and harder to kill. These super-zombies have started grouping up into a horde going from city to city leaving a path of destruction behind them.

We’ve now learned that Sony hopes to get cameras rolling on January 28th.

It’s return to Atlanta has been confirmed and we also believe it’ll shoot some scenes in the state of Tennessee as well. Sony has already set the release date for Zombieland 2 on October 11th, 2019.

Avan Jogia has signed on to the Ruben Fleischer-helmed Zombieland 2, joining original stars Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Abigail Breslin as well as franchise newbie Zoey Deutch in the sequel from Sony Pictures.

Jogia will play Berkeley, who is the epitome of the bad boy musician that you would hate for your daughter to fall in love with.
