Zombieland Is Open For Business.

This looks great. Seeing it tomorrow if everything goes as planned. :woot:

I might see it in the theater. I still don't know.

Tomorrow night.

This is one of those movies you have to see with a like minded crowd.

The old man wants to see this, so we'll check it out probably at a saturday matinee.

It's a comedy. Anything longer than that and it starts to drag. I'm looking at you, Judd Apatow.

I saw this last night at a free screening. It was pretty damn good.

There are moments of pure brilliant levity and moments that are just too obvious and drag. It is a bit hit or miss, but it is always entertaining and def. outside the box for Hollywood comedy so I thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Shaun of the Dead is better, but they are quite different. Shaun is very British with its dry, sardonic and witty sense of humor while Zombieland is very crude, over the top, gory and based on sight gags and broad jokes more. More American I suppose.

But there is one moment of pure brilliance in this film which I shall spoil below, so be warned if you don't want the best scenes ruined for you

Bill Murray had the best cameo ever. First I wasn't sure if they'd bring him in as a zomibe or not. Then it looks like they have...only it turned out it is Bill in disguise! He plays Ghostbusters with Woody using real props and costumes and smokes pot with the characters. And then Eisenberg kills him when he tries to surprise him as a zomibe while he and the little girl are watching ghostbusters on the other side of the house.

Murray's last words? When asked about any regrets he says, "Garfield...maybe."

Absolutely brilliant in those scenes. The ending, while contrived in occurence is also thoroughly satisfying as well. Indeed.

7.5/10

Sounds like it'll be a decent watch. I may check it out tomorrow if I get the time.

Big difference.

I don't have a problem with people who dress on festive occassions like Halloween or going to a Convention.

This 'Zombie Squad' sounds like an organized tree house club for adults. They took it too far is why I think it's lame. Those other people you mentioned, the ones who dress up as Spider-Man, Batman/Joker or characters from Star Wars do so at conventions and or Halloween. Zombie Squad seems like they're trying to be 'leet' or some crap.

I don't know, just the way you said that Zombie Squad was there it just made it seem like they are some "big thing" which makes it even more embarassing for them as well as people/fanboys who get excited over them as if they're celebrities or something.

Not at all. I mean, they were the ones who had a big list and if you dressed like a zombie, or in said ZS gear, you got in free. It was all in good fun. And the above statement about cons or Halloween, you do realize Halloween is just over 3 weeks away right? I know alot of people that dress up in costume, whether it be Star Wars, Batman, or Zombie garb at random times throughout the year just for fun.

Ever hearad of a Zombie Walk? They do it all around the country. It's definately a sight to see, especially some of the bystanders reactions to said "Zombie Outbreak".

Lame or not, i'm in. Bring on the Stenches!

EDIT: Apparently, I also forgot to mention the numerous charity events they hold such as blood drives, clothing for children and the homeless, food drives, etc.

Really funny movie, IMO, lol. Awesome.

8/10

Bill Murray's cameo was funny as hell. My theater was filled with laughs, LOL!

Saw this earlier, very funny and entertaining, not one moment of boredom and non-stop fun from beginning to end. The zombie action was pretty good but the true strength of the film IMO is Woody Harrelson and his chemistry with the actors. Next to Natural Born Killers, this is definitely my favorite role of his.

I saw this earlier today and thought it was a decent movie for sure. I don't think it was anything special, but it was a good popcorn flick.. I agree with a poster that Woody did a good job and his sidekick(forgot his name, kinds of reminds me of Micheal Cera a little) did a great job as well. I personally would of liked a little more Zombie carnage and deaths, but other than that it was decent.

Holy crap...an 89% on RT! About to go see it.

I saw this today my favorite scenes had to be
When they're at Bill Murray's House and the Amusement park

loved murrays long drawn out final breath. then that chick starts laughing lol

my theater actually showed a preview for twilight, which i think is the completely WRONG audience to show it to.

Absolutely hilarious movie. Great chemisty between all the actors, some great lines, great gore, and it's violent.

As for the cameo:
[BLACKOUT]
Bill Murray was fantastic, the moment he got shot by Columbus had the entire theater rolling. [/BLACKOUT]

The scenes that got me:

[BLACKOUT]The clown suddenly appearing under the bathroom stall, and the final clown at the giant drop, and the ensuing kill with the hammer. [/BLACKOUT]

Great movie.

Funniest movie of the year. Brilliance. Bill Murray.

The trailer didn't really impress me at all, but I might see it since the great WOD it's recieved. Too bad a critic ruined the cameo for me.

Same happened to me too with the cameo, but it really doesn't ruin it.

Easily one of the best movies this year. This is a MUST see.

9/10

It was funny, it had depth, it had some emotion, and it had some good action and great dialogue. I loved every single character in this movie...all 5!

I wondered why he painted a 3 on the side of all his cars but I figured it was because [BLACKOUT]his kid was 3.[/BLACKOUT]
