Saw it tonight, loved it. Funny (but short) little added scene after the credits as well...worth waiting to see.

That's what I was about to ask everyone. I plan on seeing this tomorrow but was wondering which of those two films people thought was funnier.

3.5/5

The second best Jesse Eisenberg amusement park comedy with the word "land" in the title OF THE YEAR! No joke!

But seriously, I really enjoyed it a great deal and liked that it still managed to mine some original comedy out of a premise that feels pretty much tapped out by now. Eisenberg, who I've loved since Squid And The Whale was the highlight performance for me, often elevating the already sharp material with his nebbishy hyper-articulate line delivery. Harrelson was a lot of fun too, though a tad less outrageously cool than I expected. The film's pace hits some dead-spots, and there's a few too many voice over moments spelling out the obvious for the audience, but it's a really fun movie with one of the best surprise cameos I've seen in years. I can't believe Ebert ruined it in his review.

And I felt like a total loser for catching the possible continuity error regarding Emma Stone's recollection of Anaconda as R-rated. It was PG-13 dammit!

So you thought Adventureland was better than this? I thought this film was a breath of fresh air.

I did, yeah. Adventureland had much more to say, and packed a far more resonnant punch.

But, I'm not holding that against Zombieland. It's a different animal, and should be judged as one. The comment I posted earlier was meant to be very tongue-in-cheek. I agree that this film was definitely refreshing to watch after some really awful September films and the mediocre Jennifer's Body - which disappointed where Zombieland thrived.

Adventureland was better, but it's a completely different movie from this.

I like Zombieland alot though i wish there was more character arcs.

MY whole theater was dying with laughter at what happend to murray.

I wondered why he painted a 3 on the side of all his cars but I figured it was because [blackout]his kid was 3.[/blackout]
he loved dale earndhart, a nascar driver.

in his flashbacks you can see the earndhart stuff in his house.

I saw this last night, effen great movie.:up:

Bill Murray, best. cameo. ever.

When Columbus said Garland, Tx. already looked like crap before the zombies, everyone in the theater got a huge laugh (anyone that lives in Dallas knows what I'm talking about)

Also when he shot Murray, the theater erupted in laughter with a bunch of "OH S***"

The cast was awesome with obviously Woody being great.

Having For Whom The Bell Tolls at the begining was a great way to start the movie.

9/10

I hope they make a sequel.

I enjoyed it atleast as much as Shaun of the Dead, and I really liked the characters. WAY better film than Adventureland.

I liked this more than Shaun of the Dead. Shaun got a little too sad at the end and ended on a dull and bleak note. This had a couple minutes of sad and then the awesome and funny was back on. But, both were good movies but I like Zombieland better.

Yeah everyone in my theater was laughing their asses off at the Garland line, since we're very close to Garland.

The trailer didn't really impress me at all, but I might see it since the great WOD it's recieved. Too bad a critic ruined the cameo for me.

It would of been nice to be suprised but just hearing about it makes me want to see the film more. I'm definately seeing this today.

I say, Ruben Fleischer is really off to a good start of mainstream filmmaking. He really has good talent of handling both action & comedy. I say WB should give this guy a call to handle the Flash.

$9.4 million opening day, so probably around $25 mill opening weekend, and it'll be #1 easily.
Pretty solid numbers.

Yeah, I'm definitely going to check this out over the weekend.

it's cool that both writers of Zombieland are hired to do the script for the Venom spin off
