what when I'm sneaking away and all the ghouls are swarming you because of all the noise you're making ... you're right

still be sick to blow a zombie's head off with a huge BANG

with solid slugs you can get'er dun :p

just to keep it even an assault rifle is only good on single shot(conserve ammo) and when u have significant range (pistols are smaller and easier to maneuver) and in this case you should probably be more worried about escape then plugging a creature that can't reach you and they are also very LOUD...

That is correct, the most important thing to focus on is staying alive, fight only when you have to. Quite frankly, i'd gather all my supplies and head out of town, stay out of highly populated areas.

The point is you don't have to leave, those silos carried enough MRE's and water for a large group of people to stay down for years. Not to mention it would be full of weapons like any other military installation.

that's all well and good, but a clear escape route is right up there with other necessities like food and water, if you're trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. they would have benefited from a sturdier fence around the grounds of the bunker in day of the dead, too.

told you guys earlier in the thread, writing a script had to do the research ;)

shotguns actually aren't all that handy, scattered shot doesn't kill the creatures u need to take the head, break the neck, or do significant damage to the brain, a shot gun (with buck shot) is just going to rip them up a bit and alert all their companions as to where lunch is...

give me a .45 with an extended clip and plenty of hollow point shells... you know what, the hell with fire-arms gimmie a nice quiet reusable Ice Axe, a trench knife, a Hunting bow with bear hunting arrow heads and plenty of shafts, a couple of Kurkri, and a Katana.

good choices, but i might go with a revolver instead. less chance of jamming, but it takes longer to load and hold less bullets. tough call. maybe one of each.

Like where I work, and where I'm typing this as of now

oh yeah ankle holster, .38 ammo available at every local police station (long after the fact as to avoid ...complications like officers of the law)

*authors note* by no means have I revealed all of my armament choices and this is the Ghoul/zombie build the "infected" load is Completely different :woot:

are you using the zombie survival guide as a reference for your script?

yessir, yessir it does in a lot of places... mainly the ones I'm using ;)

oh and the lead actually carries a copy in the script ;)

nice touch.
I went all out on this one I thought about current trends (hate fast Zombies F'n hate'em) and unused lore and figured how to tell (what I feel) is a damn good homage to the original (that being Night with the Ghouls, not White Zombie with karloff, that isn't technically the same genre strangely enough) for a very reasonable budget
and get this I have 3 major points of interest that haven't been used before ;)

sounds cool. wise decision on the running zombies. those aren't zombies, no matter what zack snyder says.

didn't say I wasn't including them just said I have a strong distaste for them as obnoxious as it is they have become part of the mythology...then again never said I was :p

they've only been featured in one film, though. not exactly a staple of the modern zombie films. i can't stand them and wouldn't have them in my movie, but whatever works for you.

Return of the Living Dead had running zombies that could talk. Though those movies were basically a guy that worked with Romero who wanted to do his own thing. Not to mention 28 Weeks Later, where they actually bite instead of just spit like its predecessor.

true, that slipped my mind. damn good movie, too. i still think that something that's gone through rigor mortis should not be able to sprint.
