Sure but England has the biggest population in Britain so not every students going to get in the universities in Scotland and Wales. Plus the fact Scottish students don't pay tution fees at all which is probably salt in the wounds for their English classmates.

I've been looking for a discussion on the tuition fee riots in Britian. I need someone to help me understand this. I understand they are mad that they have to pay more, but I just want to slap them all. It costs easily more than that to attend college in America. And they are fussing over those prices. Why?

Now, I do understand that they are supporting a huge welfare family (the Royals) who are about to spend 40 Million on a wedding so that is like pissing on them. However, they should direct there anger at the royals lavish wedding costs if that is why they are mad. Don't ***** because your tuition fees are going up. When they have to pay $120,000 or more to go to college I will understand. Its at least $10,000 to go to a community college in my state. And I will still have to transfer to a bigger college and pay easily twice that to get anywhere. In the end I will have a six figure sum to pay off. Call me crying when you have that to deal with.

The Royal Family brings in more money to the country than they take out.

I'm a big advocate of my country (Canada) severing ties with the UK Royals, but the notion that the Royal Family is a drain on UK taxpayers is a huge misconception.

IMO, the students rioting to most Americans is like the rioting over the retirement age in France going to 62.....we laugh at those things, considering ours is probably about to go up to 69.

All I can say to these people is, welcome to the real world, you are now about to have to pay for what you want because your government just can't do it anymore.

EU Should Impose Israel Sanctions

A group of 26 ex-EU leaders has urged the union to impose sanctions on Israel for continuing to build settlements on occupied Palestinian territory. The letter sent to European governments and EU institutions, asks EU foreign ministers to reiterate that they "will not recognise any changes to the June 1967 boundaries and clarify that a Palestinian state should be in sovereign control over territory equivalent to 100% of the territory occupied in 1967, including its capital in East Jerusalem".

It also asks ministers to set the Israeli government an ultimatum that, if it has not fallen into line by April 2011, the EU will seek an end to the US-brokered peace process in favour of a UN solution, according to the EUobserver website.

I agree. When you bleed your government dry, eventually your gonna have to give some of your own. The sad thing is America is going the same way. More and more americans think the government should give them handouts and once it starts it will escalate until we put ourselves and the government in so much debt the whole system collapses.

The more you give the people, the more they will want.

When you do not have enough givers, to take care of that want, you get what is happening in Europe. These governments did not take into account what would happen when their baby boomers began retiring and started taking not giving...

We have a chance to learn that since our retirement age is much later.....I hope we learn from their mistakes.
