Emma Raducanu (the great UK hope for the future) makes it through to the fourth round of the US open. Earlier Naomi Osaka loses and announces she’s taking a break from tennis.

Now Raducanu has avoided Barty who lost to Shelby Rogers.

Rogers broke in Raducanu’s first service game but Raducanu now broke back. Maybe she can make an impact at this level if she gets used to the pace quickly. Amazing progress anyway.

Raducanu does it!! 18 years old and into the quarter finals in her second major. Don’t think the U.K. have ever had a female prospect like this in my lifetime.

Fernandez wins again and is now in the semis. The teenagers are on fire in this tournament. She has taken out a bunch of big names already.

Raducanu beats Bencic 6-3 6-4! First female to reach a US open semi as a qualifier!

Such a crazy tournament. 19 year old (only just) Leylah Fernandez wins the match and gets to the final of the US open!!!

I was anxious the whole time. Imagine if Fernandez meets Raducanu in the finals. Two teens in the finals. We need some new blood. Same on the men’s side.
