12 teams!? Here are my guesses.

Commanders
Broncos
Steelers
Jets
Dolphins
Colts
Giants
Bucs
Saints
Vikings
Eagles
Browns

I don't think the Giants go OL for both their picks. Even if the Panthers go with Pickett, the Giants need to address their pass rush.

When I said that I felt they needed to address needs on both sides of the line, I meant offense and defense. I think they can do that at five and seven

That is flat out stupid. If someone is out of your division you play them once every what......2 or 3 years?? Unless they are in your division, you get the best deal you can.

Seahawks are releasing Wagner. Someone is going to pick up one helluva good player.

Just like I don't see the appeal of Rodgers at 38 years old, I don't see the appeal of Wilson at 33 years old. I can't understand how 12 teams lined up to court the guy. Yes he won a Super Bowl, but that was in 2014, when he was 25 and in his prime. Based on his performance in the last couple of years, dude ain't ever sniffing a SB again.

You win with young studs like Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert and Allen, not old retreads like Wilson and Rodgers.

Like Stafford? :cwink:

I mean, I could see Denver with Wilson making a deep run in the playoffs. Things would have to shake out right, but that's true for just about any team. Denver looks really solid except for the most important position on the field and I think Wilson can give them enough for the next 2 or 3 years to take them somewhere.

The Rams didn't write the book, but Denver seems to have taken notice of what they did last year. Personally, I think Seattle was asking too much and GB is being flat out stupid.

No idea.

Also overall, that feels so dumb if they don't have anyone else. Especially when you consider what they gave up for him.
Yeah, I'm curious to see how this shakes out. I really don't get this move for either team right now.

Anyone wonder what the Colts would have looked like last year with a 31/32 year old Andrew Luck? If the Colts had built a good O line earlier, they might not find themselves in the situation they are in. Hats off to Luck though. He had his priorities in life in the right order.

@Spider-Fan

Can we maybe change the name of this thread to NFL 2022 Draft, Trades, and Free Agency? It's a minor point, but probably describes what we're talking about here.

Giants looking at bringing in buffalo back up M. Trubisky :wall:

You think maybe Chicago might have picked another QB at #2 if they had it to do over again? The guy the Chiefs picked at #10 might have worked out a little better for Chicago than Trubisky......

Colts weren't going anywhere with Wentz. Jonathan Taylor was wasted on him. Good move by them.

NFL Teams must falling over each other to become trading partners with the Washington Commanders. Those guys are buffoons.

that's what haunted Trubisky imo the constant reminder he went before Maholmes he did go to the playoffs one year i think but still sucks for me that they giants are looking at that guy

I'm going to say something that will make a lot of people roll their eyes, but I could see Trubisky becoming a much better QB in the right circumstances; maybe just slightly better than mid-level. While I don't think it's likely he gets to, say, a top 10 QB (esp with all of the good young QBs in the game now), I think his problems stem from a lack of confidence and being a shade late on pulling the trigger. As QBs hit their late 20s or early 30s the game sometimes slows down (I hate that term) for them and they make a significant step forward. I could possibly see that happening with Trubisky, but he's going to need the right situation and a year or so to possibly get his confidence back. I could see a team taking a flyer on him. If he does go to the Giants, they're probably thinking this could be Jones' last year and maybe something will pan out. They also damn well better do something about that O line.

A note to Bengals fans.......the Titans are releasing Pro Bowl guard Roger Saffold. I think they have about 40M in cap space. If they can sign a center and RG in free agency, it opens up lot for them in the draft.

LB Mack to the Chargers from Chicago for a 2022 2nd rounder and a 2023 6th rounder.
I don't follow the Bears so I'm not familiar with Mack but his numbers look good.
Chargers add him to an already stacked roster plus the #17 overall pick in this years draft.
Looks like a new power is rising in LA.

Yeah. Raider fan here. Mack was a beast in Oakland and did pretty well for Chicago. Super athlete and the Chargers need D help at LB. I suspect they'll go for a guy like Jordan Davis as they need a big run stuffer on the D line, but also need some help at CB. Having Mack will help their pass defense. Getting him for a 2 and change is an absolute steal.

EDIT: Oh yeah.....one other thing. Having Mack line up opposite Bosa is going to cause some problems around the league. If they can draft a big guy in the middle who can provide a push in the pocket, the Chargers' D could turn around really fast.

Also, I would not want to be Derek Carr next year when I play the Chargers twice and have Bosa and Mack on my ass.

Bosa nad Mack make a scary duo for sure depending on what mack has left in the tank one of the worst moves done by racist gruden

There's every reason to think he's got plenty left. He hurt his foot in game three against the Browns last year, but played the next 3 games before they shut him down and got him surgery. He had 6 sacks in 6 games last season; including 3 in the 3 games he was hurt. I doubt the Chargers go after him without a high level of certainty that the surgery was successful. He's a 6 time Pro Bowler (I think). A lot of QBs are going to find they don't have a lot of time to get rid of the ball when they're playing the Chargers next season. This is not the news Mahomes, Carr, and Wilson want to hear. Man, I just realized that the AFC west has some damn good QBs.

The Bears trading Mack is another head scratcher.

He was their star player and they gave up so much more to get him than what they got in return. The Bears really got fleeced.

I feel sorry for that fanbase in Chicago. Extremely dedicated and loyal but that organization is poorly ran.

They are throwing in the towel for next year and I wouldn't be surprised to see them cut or trade more of their veterans. They opened up a lot of money over the next 3 years (esp years 2 and 3), but are taking a 24M dead cap hit this year. They weren't going anywhere and knew it.

But, yeah, that's a helluva deal for the Chargers. If Mack passes the physical, we can assume his foot is okay and this is a done deal.
