- The first thing that might come to mind with this title might be the Isis Foundation from previous seasons; however... we're going to go on a limb here and speculate that this has to do with the character of Isis. In the original TV series The Secrets of Isis starring Joanna Cameron, Isis was "a high school science teacher who gains the ability to call upon the powers of the goddess Isis after finding an Egyptian amulet during an archeological dig in Egypt." There was an Isis tie-in comic from DC in the 1970's and then the character - or a variation of her - was brought into DC continuity in the popular weekly series 52. Please note that the idea that the classic Isis character is the basis for this story is not confirmed at this time and that this is just speculation. Maybe we're wrong and this is the return of Lana and the Isis Foundation, or something.

So its a Lana return or Isis the DC character? Isn't she like Captain Marvel/Shazam though?

Well wasn't Chloe the last one in Charge of the Isis foundation, or at least the building, until she made it the home of Watchtower before moving to its current location?

It might be kind of difficult to do the 52 version, given that her origin was so involved with Black Adam and the Marvel family.

It's the goddess Isis, you can see the amulet in the Comic-Con trailer:

This title definately has to do with the necklace we saw in the trailer and not Lana/Isis Foundation related. Good title.

Yeah, it won't be about Lana. I'm sure of it.

PS: Isis looks smoking hot.

Well if they indeed go with Isis, the goddess, then its time for Smallville to cast yet another ridiculous gorgeous mid twenties egyptian woman. Sigh....

Uh? There's already Lois in Egypt. She may very well be the one to find it.

^ You mean Lois with Superpowers? For her to find out how to walk a mile in Superman shoes? I dunno....

And you actually complain about this? :cwink:

Something tells me this may be another "possession" story and Lois will definitely be in the middle of it.

Probably or their setting up an unexpected appearance of introducing Captain Marvel/Billy Batson in "Smallville". :whatever:

very cool episode title. i read about this isis character on wiki. It will be interesting if it will be about this character or just a random title name and have nothing to do with the character. we should know in a few weeks since filming for this episode should be coming up like in a week. Yea like batman/ww/and full on gl captain marvel is off limits for smallville. Warrior was to be about captain marvel, but they were not able to score the rights to the character and that is why that episode got changed into a warrior angel episode.

I'm still confused why Captain Marvel is off limits for Smallville to be honest.
He's not involved in a movie coming up. So, there's no reason for him to be off limits...

Unless DC just randomly put up restrictions for zero reason...

That said, Isis, whoever they get, if it's an actress will probably do the role well.
And hey, if I can't get Black Adam on Smallville, I'll settle for Isis.

I don't think they'll waste time with a possession story again.
Part of me is hoping Zatanna is coming back too.

I think maybe Lois will wear the amulet after finding it in Egypt and maybe be possessed by the spirit of Isis?

Hope they don't go route. But maybe they could, if they don't get the rights for the character of Isis(if they plan to use her in the first place). She's connected to the Marvel family right? And as far as I know, Captain Marvel or characters close to him are off-limits.

Wasn't Captain Marvel or Shazam or someone supposed to be in season 9, but then they ended up using Warrior Angel instead?

That's right. It was supposed to be Captain Marvel and the kid was supposed to be Billy Batson. But here come the restrictions and they had to change it. Same thing was with the episode featuring Dean Cain. He was supposed to play Vandal Savage and the ep was gonna be called "Savage". But DC didn't allow it so the ep was changed to "Cure" and the character was called Curtis Knox. While still having all the characteristics of Savage. I never got this - DC allows them to use big major villains like Darkseid, but they don't let them use some smaller characters or name Bart - Flash or stuff like that. What kind of a stupid **** is that?

I have a feeling maybe Checkmate gets involved with the discovery of the amulet?

Uh, why would Checkmate discover the amulet?
I realize they're like cockroaches, I.E. Everywhere, but they're not as all encompassing as Wolfram and Hart. :) Does Checkmate have a mystical Artifacts division?

As for Vandal, why would DC not let them use him? Really, that's just stupid, DC.

As for Isis, considering she's been around in one way or another since the 70s, they might be able to have the person there, and not a possession story.

All I know is that she wasn't always Black Adam's wife. :)
