Well, I have mixed feelings on the new clips. On the good side, Brandon Routh seems like he does a real good job, at least as Superman. I didn't see enough of his Clark to make a difinitive opinion. Also Frank Langella and Kevin Spacy seem pretty good.

On the bad side, I think Kate Bosworth comes off horrible in these clips. There's nothing of the care free, take unreasonable risks Lois that Margo Kidder did so well, and also was the signature of the character from the comics. Perhaps being a mommy now makes her more careful, but I still don't like it.

Also some of the dialogue just comes off as akward. Both scenes with Richard and Lois, seem akward and out of place. I'm glad that Jimmy Marsden is getting more screen time after getting shafted in X3, but the scenes I saw with him in it, just didn't come off, and it seems more like Kate Bosworth's fault than his. The two have no chemistry together.

Well I guess we'll see what happens when the movie comes out, at least it seems like it's getting some positive reviews.

Lois does seem to be a bit of any icy *****... but perhaps this is due to her being miffed at Supes.

In STM, Superman when asked about his weight says "about 2...225" and Lois repeats his stutter. That coupled with Jor-el's assessment about Superman's "dense molecular structure" made me think that Superman weighed 2225. Then I read somewhere else that Superman constantly was levitating because obviously not a lot (such as his chair, bed, a car, etc.) could sustain over a ton of weight.

Also, it's kinda weird that Clark with his super-hearing doesn't hear Jimmy coming up from behind him in that clip where he finds out Lois is a mommy. I figure that he is so lost in thought about what's going on that he doesn't hear Jimmy.

Finally, one thing that bothers me is when they say "unidentified bogey coming in" or something like that. It's a redundancy because bogey MEANS unidentified target/object. It's like saying "enemy bandit" or something similiar /knitpick

I just saw the clips...they are not bad, but nothing to write to mom either.
Of course they are just seconds or minutes long, so, it not even cross my mind to say that it means that the movie sucks (which the clips don´t, so, i would never say that).
Two thing that caught my eyes when seeing them...the shirt rip and "and he doesn´t lie".
The shirt rip, might be classic Superman, but damn, he guy is running in a busy street, with a bunch cars in the streets...at least Reeve had the decency to get into a phone booth or a rotating door.
And about when Lois is explaning Superman´s powers to Richard....(which is weird, because would Richard know what they are, it makes Lois be extremely excited with his return that she just can´t shut up), the all "and he doesn´t lie!".
God damn it, i hate that!
I always hated the all "he doesn´t lie" crap.
It makes it look like it´s a power that he has...he doesn´t lie because he chooses not to, not because he can´t.

And then there is the clip "I Thought I Would Never See You Again" , which is, IMO, the worst of the bunch.
First of all (and this may be better in the movie, when we see the all scene), it doesn´t look all that dramatic, when it should be.
And the clip goes like this...

Ma: Did you find what you´re looking for?
Clark: I...saw...hoped...that it might still be there.
Ma: Your home?
Clark: The place was a graveyard...i´m all that is left

WTF?
I would have made a better dialogue than that, and more Superman like.
