1985 Preview Art

As cool as the fumetti looked,I really like Edwards' work.

Anyone know how Bullet Points turned out?

The fumetti idea would've made for a much cooler comic book. While it's a shame it didn't work out, Tommy's artwork is always great. Speaking of which, is he like Marvel's new go to guy for out of continuity minis now?

Millar should go the same route, permanently.

Are there any examples of a fumetti comic story? I have never heard of anything like that, not that I am aware of, and would love to see an example.

Fumetti sounds cool, but I love seeing comic drawings and art. Sounds cool, wish they had more examples.

There's a link to some examples in the link provided in my original post.

Bullet points was too far off of it's original premis. The solicited idea was how one bullet would change the MU if it was in the right time, at the right place. Instead, Dr.Erskine getting shot before he administered the Super soldier serum apparently caused the iron man tech to be invented in the 40's, and since Ben Parker was caught in the crossfire, Peter grew up in Arizona (why?), and becmoes the Hulk. The whole Iron Man armor threw me off so bad i didn't even finish the mini. It was basically just a case of "Hey, lets make all the Marvel charecters have teh powers of different marvel charecters".

Stupid.

Pretty cool news here. I was just thinking about this miniseries and when it was going to come out...and speak of the devil. Well, end of 2007 isn't too bad. Hopefully this will be good because I've been looking forward to this for quite some time now.

So the idea is that the art is taken from nothing but photo refference?
But it is still drawn, or drawn over the photos?
And not drawn any other way?

Bullet Points' art was SO cool that I was going to buy it just for the art. But hearing what it really was about, I am second thinking it. Sort of reminds me of the comic that was about Marvel Heroes without powers. Peter, Iron Man, Wolverine, without powers, but for some reason the story was actually different than what I thought it should be.

Yeah, you're talking baout Powerless, which is another good example of a mini that played out differently than it seemed it would from the solicits.

Yeah, Bullet Points just ended up really really mediocre, although that wasn't so much the art's fault (although I will say it wasn't that spectacular either after the first issue).

'Bullet points' was just a bloated 'What if?'

On the 'Fumetti' thing, cant say I like those examples and I'm quite into photo manip stuff. Those pic's look too much like more highly rendered 3D 'poser' type stuff to me.

As for '1985'...I'm curious about the plot for this. From the sounds of it the kid seen reading the Secret Wars book starts seeing the Marvel Universe appearing in our own?

Yeah, I'm definitely picking this up, if for no other reason than Edwards' art. It looks fantastic.

What's 1985 about again?

I believe it's about a boy who begins to see and interact with the Marvel characters he reads in his comics.

So... Marvel characters coming into a normal universe? might be worth a look, if I've got the cash to buy comics again when this comes out. I'm a bit strapped lately (Summer movie season and Harry Potter book)

I'll pass on this too. 1985 is when the EX and I were married.

That was a great year for Marvel. Im definitely checking it out.

The plotline sounds cute, and the art is better than the past "photographs" preview we got. Glad they scrapped that art.
