I just don't see him as a great coach. There is nothing new about him, there is nothing daring about him and a great coach must have that. Furthermore, he can't keep control over his team which make sense being as its not his team but Jerry Jones' team and he is the puppet to the puppet master. I see Wade Philips as a coach who will do just enough to keep his job, but really nothing truly great and as much as I hate them, a dynasty like Dallas deserves better than a yes-man.

You are correct, there is nothing new about Wade Philips - but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't think he deserves the "puppet" tag, however. Does he fight Jerry Jones? No, because that doesn't serve the team or himself. I think Jones and Philips are simply on the same page - which is the key to a successful organization. A team where the owner, GM and Head Coach disagree and fight will always fail.

Wade Philips's is a tremendous defensive mind and a good team manager - sometimes that's all you need on a talented team.

Any how, Romo should try to be humble. Listening to the Sanchez and Romo are two sides of a coin. You have Sanchez talking about the team effort and saying how the team can't get cocky and just need to keep playing football where as Romo is stroking his own ego. "If I couldn't win a play-off game, I wouldn't have won." I know Romo has gotten a lot of flack over being unable to win a play-off game, but its not like he won the Super Bowl. He won the wild card game. To be talking like that, it gives a lot for people to throw in your face down the road, and makes you sound like an arrogant jerk. Romo wouldn't get nearly as much flack as he does if it weren't for things like this.
A QB needs a bit of an ego, a bit of swagger. Sanchez needs to be humble because he has ridden his team into the playoffs, Romo has led his team into the playoffs. Romo has also dealt with years of grief for being a "choker" - a choker in December, in the playoffs - his winning a playoff game WAS gigantic. It was obviously his first win, and the first win for the organization in over a decade.

I see nothing wrong with his comments.

So basically you admit you were probably wrong about the guy. I told you to lay off the kid, but you would not heed the advice. The guy can throw the football with anybody and his deep balls have been on the money this year. The ability is clearly there. It's not just charisma and sex appeal.

I said all year long Sanchez could become a good QB, but that he had not demonstrated the ability, in spite of the hype around him. None of my criticism was unfair, all of it was accurate.

Even yesterday, the Jets struggled in the first part of the game because it was obvious that the Jets coaching staff wasn't letting Sanchez throw the ball. I don't think he threw a straight up 5 step drop pass until the second quarter. All of his passes were short, safe throws - most of which came out of a play action. They didn't trust him.

Sanchez ended up showing in that game that he had the ability to win games - he had not shown that ability all year. He struggled in the cold, he struggled in the wind, he struggled with his deep ball accuracy, and he struggled with his decision making.

He still lacks the upside that Stafford or Freeman has, but he may be a good starting QB yet.

Should we expect an entire full page post after the game if they lost with him explaining why they lost if they lose ?

no not really, just 1 sentance

''they didnt throw it to Moss enough''

Ummm are we on Little League rules here, cause they can call this game anytime.

If you listen closely to the broadcast you can hear him making excuses in the background LOL

Belicheck needs to just toss in the white towel and walk away. This is like watching Apollo get knocked around by Ivan Drago.

That didn't take long. Ray Rice from Rutgers is Rapidly Rushing.
:rimshot:
Remember, our friend Excel is at this game.
Oh my :awesome:
Do you think he will get pissed off enough to jump out of the stands & then run & kick Brady's ass ?

It's possible :wow:
Hype history shall be made :awesome:

I can't believe they didn't challenge that punt recovery. At least call a time out to look it over up stairs.

While it's almost always too early to count the Patriots out, as much as I hate them, I gotta do a happy dance!

Maybe not. Their defense is really stepping it up, if the offense could do the same, they'd have a shot.

What we need here, is Excel to grab the headphones from Bill and take his place as coach.....He'll be all "Pass it to Moss, damnit". We'd win 54-24 :awesome:

But NE still can't really shut down Baltimore's run game. It's only a matter of time before Flaco & Heap burn 'em on a play action.

:funny: Does Moss even have a catch today? Excel must be going crazy. :(

I think Ex said he was going to have a sign.."Throw it to Randy, it usually works" or something like that

I think he told us about the sign last week, but I don't think he went considering it was in Houston.

Confirmed.

Excel will be an attendance next weekend as the Patriots take on _______ in an AFC Wild Card showdown in Foxboro

I'll be at the 25 about 25 rows backs (...) behind the Pats bench in a Green 88 Randy Moss Marshall college jersey. I'll have a sign that says in his black letters

JUST
THROW
IT TO
RANDY

and on the backk it will read

IT
USUALLY
WORKS

Have fun, bro.

As Brady was walking down the steps to the tunnel I saw someone hanging over the the rail yelling. I can't help but think it was Excel screaming "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! THROW TO MOSS!"
