This reminds me of when the Dolphins lost the ball at the last possible minute due to Chad having a grudge against the other team so he throws the ball at a random player lol

They should have ran the ball in the first place. Throwing it was just too risky.

They were out of field goal range. What they should have done was push for another 10 yds via WR/RB screens, and then ran the ball to wind the clock. Pushing for a field goal at the 34 yd line is stupid. Never bank on a 52 yd field goal. That 5 yard penalty kind of forced them to throw.

Hey Brett did something different. Usually when doing something stupid most quarterbacks have their head down crying at the bench. But Brett kept his head up lol

OT..I figure Brees would just heave it twice right off the bat, and they'd win. Hmm...

Longwell's career long is a 55yd FG. If they were playing outside, then throwing it might have been an option. I still would have ran the ball or even thrown a screen.

I think a screen was the play to go to, but they started that play on the 38 yd line. That is out of field goal range, and the previous 2 running plays yielded 2 yards. They needed more yards than that. But, you should never bank on a FG of over 50 yds to win a game, when you have 1:00 to move the ball. That is stupid to do.

If a legend like Favre, loses what may very well be his last shot at the Super Bowl without touching the ball (even if its his fault they're in OT as I'm sure Norm will point out), I guarantee the rules committee will change overtime rules. Which IMO is sad.

Wow, theyre going for it

and they got it...

and they're going to review the spot AGAIN...

my God this OT is like an NBA Playoff game

Vikings have to hope for a missed FG or turnover now.

Wow, I do not like that call. It was uncatchable. I do not like that a bit. Not on a call that determines the Super Bowl. Wow...

This is one of the most frustrating games I've ever seen and I'm not even a Vikings fan.

Its sad that a legend like Brett Favre's legacy will be determined by a TERRIBLE call.

Joe Buck is a complete idiot. How can you say you think a ball is "uncatchable" when it lands on the hash marks only 2 yds away from where the TE was tackled??

They didn't change the rules for making the playoffs when the Patriots failed to get in with 11 wins. I doubt they'll change the rules because Farve didn't thwow the ball in OT of the NFC championship.

That was not a catch.

At least Kurt Warner should not feel so bad if both players retire. Brett cost his team the game

And that's not a catch. These refs are terrible and giving NO the NFC.
