There's no sympathy in football. Don't like the calls the refs make? Then don't do something that warrants a call.

:whatever: quit trolling and trying to start fights for the sake of it with ridiculous stand points.

yeah I mean who would want to watch the two best teams in the NFL this season play each other for a championship?

Or the 2 luckiest....

But, in the end, luck or best doesn't really matter.....if you are in....your in.

I wonder if the BCS idiots are baffled when NFL playoffs begin, what do they think of such a concept?..a certain number of teams play each other, until there are only 2 left..and then THEY play for a championship. Why would anyone want to watch such a thing?

They turned the ball over 5 times and you're going to blame the officiating? Is that the default loser's lament nowadays?

I agree that the Vikings turned it over way too many times and have no one to blame but themselves for letting it go to OT, but that doesn't justify the ref's bad calls once in overtime. I think its more evidence that if there's a FIELD GOAL on the first drive the other team should get to have the ball. Bad calls put them in field goal range which can easily happen. This game proves it.

Better luck next year, Brett. It'll be back to all about you in a while.

Saints-Colts...lame :down

I don't think it's a lame matchup. You have two great offenses going head to head. Plus, Manning is facing his fathers former team. Vikings/Colts would have been epic, but this Super Bowl has all the makings to be just like the one we watched tonight.

If a field goal can win the game in regulation, then there's no reason why it shouldn't in OT

Oh please. Officiating was no worse than it usually is. Bad calls didn't make Favre throw an interception in chip shot range.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

Too much money in the bowl games. And granted, you could simply have sponsors for the individual play-off games, but my guess is they won't even risk tearing their blank check.

That late pi was ********.

Poor Favre. Toughed it, a true soldier, but that last throw was just turrible.

As a non-partial observer of the game, I didn't think the 2 calls in OT were bad calls. PI is always a judgment call and the ball landed close enough to the guy getting tackled where everyone on that field and at home knew it was coming.

But you can pick and choose any point in a game to say that's when bad refs gave a team a game. The point is, if you play better, you won't be in that position.

I'm so filled with rage right now, I can think of no other option. I'm kicking the dog. Repeatedly. (But rather softly as he is aging)

I can't decide if I should be ticked at Favre for that turnover or grateful that Sge Rosenfels wasn't the starting quarterback for an 8-8 campaign.

Home cookin' is Home cookin'....taste good.
