I stumbled upon this over a week ago and forgot to post it. Interesting interview with Bettis about Cowher wanting to go to the New York Giants.

I guess depending on how the NY Giants do next year, we'll see.

thats great news.

I heard that NBC cut him because they felt he was too run-of-the-mill and boring, trying to be non-contraversial and all of that. I don't know though; I tend to avoid pre-game shows like the plague because I find them annoying. But anyway, I heard he didn't start shooting his mouth off until they gave him the SI column. I like his SI column though; he has some balls and he says things that some people would shy away from. He frequently calls out his former Steelers teammates when they screw up. And usually, he's right.

And yet they replace him with Tony Dungy, who has the same style.

The bus tormented me for years, so I can do without seeing him :)

But, Dungy is boring. If only they could get Shannon Sharpe.

The Chargers and Jets seem to be the only teams right now primed to break through.

The Chargers have all the tools to get the Super Bowl. I just think that Norv Turner will be the downfall of them. The Jets are only going to get better. I will admit, I was wrong about Sanchez.

The Dolphins, maybe, but they still need some weapons on offense and more youth on defense.

The Dolphins at the moment don't look a team that's about to break through. They have a terrific coach, but no enough playmakers.

The Bengals have the talent, but don't seem to have the team ready for the big games.

The Bengals are an extremely underrated football team IMO. Marvin Lewis has had to deal with a lot of issues since becoming the head coach. They're not a fantastic football team and they're not a horrible looking team. There's brilliant talent on both sides of the ball.

The Ravens are getting older way too fast in too many areas.

Defense is steadily declining. Loved the way their offense looked this season though.

The Texans are right there, but still a few years away from a Super Bowl.

If they're defense could step up a notch, they could be contenders.

The Titans have the same problems as the Dolphins, and no other teams seem ready to step up.

Titans will contend again next year. I expect Vince Young to be a better QB.

A team to watch next season is the Kanas City Chiefs. They've already made some brillaint coaching moves with Weis/Crennel. They were competitive last season against some good teams. I expect this team to be one to watch.

Dungy is terrible. I mean let the guy become a preacher or something, as long as he doesn't come back to the broadcast booth. The entire Sunday Night pregame is a joke as it is. Costas will probably walk once his contract expires.

I was talking about the NFC Championship game with a friend and he said something funny IMO. "If Tavaris Jackson was QB on that last play he would have just ran it for a few yards." LMAO!

He'll probably walk after the 2012 NFL Season, which is when I would assume his contract expires. He also does the Olympics, so unless NBC retains the Olympics after 2012, he's leaving for a Network that has the Olympics and baseball.

Bettis had a minor feud with Cowher awhile back, over him predicting when he was going to retire. I love The Bus but he likes to talk even when he doesn't have the whole picture.
I'm taking it with a grain of salt, regardless.

It's interesting to speculate though.

On one hand going to Carolina would make sense because that's where there kids go but Cowher would be in the position he was in before they got Big Ben, always trying to find that QB.

NY he would have an established SB winning QB.

Super Bowl Score:

Colts-24

Mark it down because it's gonna happen.

In other news, I feel so bad for Brett. Watching him fight so hard, take so many hits, all just to taste defeat was hard to watch. It felt like I was watching Rocky IV. RIP Apollo.

That's quite morbid..Brett is alive, after all.

And Brett will retire and unretire at least 100 times before the start of the next season.

Pro Bowlol

David Garrard ****ing made it :lmao:

I hate watching CBS Commentary. Although I do think NBC now is worse then them.

Think I'd rank them like this.

ESPN
Fox
CBS
NBC

Where's the NFL network? I wish I still had them.
