I'd say yes....but only because I think McNabb won't really flourish untill he leaves Philly

McNabb will never be in a better situation then he was in 2004 with T.O. or what he has this upcoming season. He is surrounded with plenty of talent. Now he has to deliver, period.

that team doesn't deserve it....if I was him, Id coast this year and get to free agency

Sounds like Anquan Boldin isn't going anywhere. Cards had an offer for a first and Todd Heap and turned it down. Andy Reid was on the local radio show and he stated he doesn't believe The Cards will trade him, but are just going through the motions. He said they are asking for much more then what Detroit received for Roy Williams (which was a 1,3, and 6 I believe) plus he wants 10 Million a year. He also said at one point to try and drive the offer up The Cards compared Boldin stats that of Jerry Rice and the same points in there careers.

Boldin does deserve a bigger deal than Roy Williams. Teams are just pissed that the Cardinals didn't undervalue a fantastic player.

1st and third... considering where these NFC East teams were drafting... was not going to be enough for Boldin. Mangini was dealing away without getting enough compensation IMO so maybe someone will swing a deal for 2010 picks. But if I am the Giants and Eagles I don't think these rookies they brought in make them the favorite for anything.

The Eagles and Giants are still the favorites in the east as they upgraded the most this past off season. As far as Boldin, it's really The Cowboys fault that he's not getting traded. The overpayment of Williams just threw everything off. I agree Boldin should have a much bigger deal as he's actually had more then one good year, but I'm talking in terms of what it took to get the trade done. While Boldin is good, it's not worth trading two high picks for a guy that might only have 2-3 years of top football left.

For instance last season, Boldin was having the better year, and likely would have had better stats then Fitz but missed 4 games. Uncertainty is what scared many teams into willing to trade the necessary picks. Plus there's rumors he might have an issue with his hip. So with all that said I can't really blame The Eagles, Ravens or Titans for not trading for him.

You want to try and get Boldin for a second rounder then good luck with that... barring a blow up in Cardinal camp that won't happen. Cowboys paid just the right price for Roy IMO.

Right now, the Giants defense just looks ridiculous.

I didn't say a 2nd would do it? I wouldn't trade two 1st's though. What Williams was had for is about the cost of Boldin, problem is The Cards and the rest of the nfl agree that Boldin is the better player. So of course Arizona wants more in return then a 1,3,6.

Agreed. Eli, IMO though needs a #1 to succeed so I think they might struggle a little if Nicks can't help that team out from the start.

I didn't say two 1st would do it either ... all you had to do was package an extra fifth or a player... Sheldon Brown and a 1st may have done it. I could care less. I am glad the Cowboys made that move because then the Giants and Eagles would have gotten a guy on the cheap this offseason. Good luck with your rookies. Not saying they won't pan out... but I'd rather face rookies than pro bowl calibur players.

From the interview I heard Reid The Cards were asking for much more then what Detroit received. So I figured it would have to be at least two 1's.

I loved our draft. We brought in players that could help us this year, but should help us plenty down the line. Through FA and trades we were able to upgrade our O Line and get a good FB, something we haven't had in a loonnng time. We also added needed depth at CB with Hobbs.

Here's the piece:
Reid said the Cardinals wanted even more for Boldin. Big Red said the Cardinals were asking for a ridiculous amount of compensation for the star wide receiver.

He said the Cards were showing them how Boldin’s stats compared with those of Jerry Rice at the same time in his career. Rice of course is the best wide receiver in the history of the NFL.

I think the Giants struggle this year unless Nicks becomes an immediate impact. If he struggles, I see the Giants fighting for a wild card spot.

I still think Braylon was cheaper. I am suprised the deal didn't go through with the Giants... and I don't care what the rumored trades were... you can't tell me the Giants were going to have to pay that much more than what the Cowboys dished out for Roy... especially the way Mangini was cleaning house. Not Boldin but still a player nonetheless. I doubt both these rookies will pan out. I think the Giants will get the short end of it though. Eli is either going to step up with the likes of Brady/Manning... or he's going to go back to being a mediocre QB next year.

All it took to get Edwards was a first round pick and Kiwanluka (sp).

The NFC East should be Beastly again.

The Giants have a killer defense, a strong running game and a QB that can make plays.

The Redskins defense was great last year, should be even better this year. Jason Campbell is playing for a contract - if their two WR's from last year step up they could be sick.

The Eagles are the Eagles. The most consistent team in this division for a decade.

The Cowboys are an enigma - but if Roy Williams steps up, they could be great as well.

Clevland would have taken some of those Giant receivers in the trade without involving Mathias. Giants just didn't want to part ways with them. I don't like the Giants offense this year. Too many "?" at receiver and tight end. And that LB core is not that good. They could easily be a last place team this year.

The Giants will be fine....it's just a unique opportunity for 1 or 2 receivers to step up

Reading through the NFL.com draft report, can everyone guess who got the worst grade? :o

Sure Oakland-but I mean they hit bottom w/ the '2nd grade overhead' press confrence, Cable will have them competing at least, but the Cowgirls have been shootin there selves in the foot since there last win...and Oakland ain't movin into a billion dolla stadium.

Anyone who writes, reads, or buys into draft grades deserves to be shot in the face. NO ONE - not the teams, not the players, not the fans - know how ANY of the picks are going to turn out for a couple of years at the earliest. Speculate all you want, but to hand letter grades to teams for making moves that haven't even had the chance to pan out? Annoying.

Oakland's draft was fine - people are giving them a hard time because it is unconventional which is bull. The Patriots drafted two players in the 2nd round that ESPN didn't have film on - yet no one complained because they are the Patriots, so they can do no wrong. This ignoring the fact that the Patriots aren't a team built through the draft.

If New England drafted Darrius Heyward-Bey at pick 7 and Mitchell in the 2nd, they would be praised for discovering "gems" that no one else saw.
