Vikings should just go with Sage... he can be a Matt Shaub type solid QB... they went out there and dealt for the guy. Might as well give him a shot. He's not gonna win you a Championship but neither will Farve. Besides... if the Vikings can step up and play championship defense they have a chance.

If Sage Rosenfels could be a Matt Schaub type QB he would have been worth more than a 4th round draft pick.

If Favre plays for the Vikings next year, he would still be the fourth best QB in the division.

Please tell me you don't have Stafford rated first.

I'd rate it:

Cutler
Rodgers
Stafford
Culpepper
Whoever Minnesota uses.....Yes, I think a less fat, redetermined Culpepper is better than a broken down Farve. (I could actually see Culpepper starting this year to let Stafford learn.)

Heres a thought:

For everybody sick of hearing about Brett Favre, how about you stop bringing him up here as well? "Im so sick of that attention Brett Farve, so I am going to bring him on the Hype message boards so we can talk about him and how much we hate talking about him" doesnt make much sense. For real mods can we get some sort of "Infraction for Favre mention" rule or something? I cant take another summer like lasts.

Though Cutlers more talented than Rodgers, I think Rodgers will undoubtedly have the best #'s of that group.

Johnson is back....he's responding well to cancer treatment, and he was just at mini camp this past week. Also the interior O Line is far from terrible. Stacy Andrews is moving into play guard (Shawn Andrews to RT). The OLine will be a strong point.
I'm just not a believer in Stacy Andrews, but it's good to see that Jim Johnson is okay.

With Farve possibly coming out of retirement, could Madden be far behind?:woot:

I wish Foote all the best with the Lions, he will definatly be an upgrade for them...just like I believe Timmons will be taking his place with the Steelers.

The Lions have impressed me with their offseason.

QFT. Larry Foote is an exceptional pick up for the Lions and rounds out the LB ranks nicely with Peterson and Simms. If Delmas pans out and the rest of their secondary doesn't act their age which is old, the Lions could have the third or even second best defense in their division. There are a lot of variables still involved, but the new Lions front office has shown to be MILES better than Millen.

Martin Mayhew > Scott Pioli.

There I said it.

No team has improved themselves more this off season than YOUR Detroit Lions.

Detroit has had a great offseason on paper, and Mayhew has been very impressive thus far that should translate into results on the field. The Giants are right up there as well with one of the better offseasons because they just look ready to dominate the NFC.

The Giant's have had a great offseason. It's just hard to improve greatness.

ESPN will have to cut into their NBA coverage for Favre.

The only story right now is the Celtics anyhow... unless the Rockets make it interesting... these other series are largely being ignored nationally. That said... if ESPN drags this like they did last year... then someone up there needs to be shot.

Its not hard to improve from 0-16; Piolis tems have had to pimprove off super bowl seasons, so its not a fair comparison :o

I am saying Martin Mayhew has improved the Detroit Lions far more than Scott Pioli has improved Kansas City. Martin Mayhew's coaching staff is better, his draft was exponentially better, his QB is better, etc.

In terms of 2009 impact, Cassel > Stafford.
