Has Vince learned to accurately throw a football yet? Because that would help.

Their d wont be as good this season as it was in 2009. Washington, Gage, and Britt are fine trio of wide recievers. They have an excellent running game. Collins was a game manager, however as seen in the playoffs and at time last year, when your down or need to come back, hes not the best to have. Young is a winner, and his freakish ability to comeback in games when they trail is what got him roty and into the playoffs his 2nd season. If Collins or Tennessee struggle early, Young will be in there.

He's still an inaccurate bonehead. That alone amounts to him not deserving the starting job, especially in the presence of Collins.

I highly doubt Vince would garner as much interest from teams like he thinks he would. Teams aren't interested in the athletic double-threat QB anymore. Especially one that's side-arming the ball when he does drop back to throw. That was a trend that came and went.

Vince is screwed in my opinion, Kerry played well last year and if he plays well again, Vince can kiss 09 goodbye.

The only team I can think of that might be interested in Vince would be.......welli don't know.

He'll have a healthy Westbrook for the first time in two years.

That's not saying much in the offseason.

Let's see where he's at come Week 2.

And so it begins:

Coach Andy Reid revealed that Brian Westbrook has been bothered by an ankle injury at the Eagles' current minicamp.

"He got a hold of (trainer) Rick (Burkholder) and his ankle was bothering him, so we're checking it out," Reid said. Reid added that Westbrook's surgically repaired knee "is feeling good." He's probably just day to day.

People are also overestimating Kerry Collins.

The dude had a fine year in 2008, but the guy was benched for Vince Young to begin with.

Because Kerry Collins was an aging veteran and Vince Young was supposed to be "it". And, as it turned out, Vince most definitely wasn't "it".

Collins was benched for his play. He threw 1 TD to 6 INT's. They started 0-5 and Vince Young led them to finish with an 8-8 record.

Being not ready in 2008 is not the same as being unready in 2009. For people to act like this guy has no skill, no ability to play in the league is simply foolish. How easy people forget what this man has done on the football field. The guy was rookie of the year not too long ago.

He had a bad year, and was benched. So what? Drew Brees was left for dead in San Diego after the 2003 season.

Brees was also a proven winner with more accuracy in his arm than the world's best sniper.

I never said he didn't have skill, I said he isn't nearly as talented as he was made out to be when he was a draft prospect. Wasn't Kurt Warner also benched for Leinart? They invested just a tad too much into these guys, and the vets came out and led them to big things. Sure, they effed up a but, but there's a reason the rooks are on the bench and the vets aren't.

:lmao:No. At the time he was seen as a man that just lead his team to a 4-12 record and didn't have enough accuracy to confidently throw a crossing route. They drafted Philip Rivers because they had no faith in Brees.

He is every bit as talented as he was made out to be as a draft prospect - talents not the issue, it's his on field awareness.

Anyone hear that the Rams could be for sale soon?

Dave Checketts, owner of the NHL Blues is interested, and since (per NFL rules) he can own teams in the same market, he's allowed to by the Rams if he wants and if he has the money. Stan Kroenke would have to sell the Nuggets and Avalanche if he wants a majority share of the Rams as NFL rules have stated that you cannot own an NBA/MLB or NHL team in an NFL market and yet own an NFL team in a different market.

And I don't think Pat Bowlen (who is a very influential owner in the NFL) would want a rival NFL owner in the same city, owning the other sports franchises in Denver.

Would love to see them go back to LA; but we no that won't happen. CA is broke, LA city and orange county are taxed heavily, the guy willing to buy the team is a the owner of the St. Louis Blues, and City of Industry still have not gotten approval for a new stadium yet.

I wish I had the money to buy them.

Of course then I would have to trade the 53 man roster for Matthew Stafford.

My mistake, I didn't read "2003". I completely miss that part.

Eh, he reminds me too much of Michael Vick. He's thrown more INTs than he has TDs every year so far, and fumbles way too much. Sure, he's talented, but I don't think he's nearly as talented as you make him out to be or the NFL previously made him out to be pre-NFL Draft. Sure, he's got a strong arm, but he's not incredibly accurate. That added to his lack of awareness and boneheaded decision-making both on and off the field would be more than enough for me to drop him.
