Lol at kid saying good effort.

LOL, right? They caught a lot of good sound bytes at the end. KG dropping the F-bomb on Rondo in the TO huddle, that annoying kid that I'm sure players were wishing he would shut up and Spo walking down the hallway slamming his mic on the ground.

The Lebron hate is becoming more and more justified every game. I mean, down the stretch he just stood in the corner behind the 3 point line. MOVE YOUR ASS. Attack the basket, do something to get open. Beyond ridiculous. Of course, maybe if the Heat had a better coach he would do it.

Miami can win two in a row but the question is will they. Boston is such an expierenced team and its tough to win in Boston at TD Garden.

It definitely is an uphill battle for Miami now. But keep in mind, two weeks ago, Miami was dead in the water. A week ago, this series was over for the Celtics and the Spurs were unbeatable in the finals. The NBA is fickle. Way too soon to be calling the series, IMO. Especially since both teams are so damn good and evenly matched (despite being very different teams). I bet game six will go right down to the buzzer too.

:funny: I picked up on that too.

I think they'll fire Spolstra before they break up the "big 3".

It was no good effort. Sure they kept the game close but turnovers killed them and they blew a 13 point lead that costed them the game.

Boston just might be the most mentally tough team since the '96 Bulls. Obviously not the same talent-wise, but just perseverance. They were down by like 13 at some points tonight, they just keep coming. They were supposed to be done and over with at least 3 seasons now, and they still rise. As a Lakers fan I despise them, but deep down, I respect them. A lot. And in some ways, I wish that same effort could be exerted from LA.

I thought the kid was being sarcastic at first with him being loud about it.

That's the call; the Corner offense. They've done it throughout the season. Let Wade pick his spot, try to drive from the top of the key, have LeBron stand on either side in the corner... watching. The Heat don't really have a number of sets. Just a bunch of read and react bull****.

Three of the top 20 players in the league, two years and the halfcourt offense is about as steady as the San Andreas Fault.

Learning to shoot free throws at a good clip would help too. My ****ing head hurts. Just ****ing win on Thursday.

Come on man.............

Stop comparing these teams from this era to the 96 Bulls. They did the same with the Heat early on this season.
Garbage.

You forget the Pistons perseverance in the mid 2000?
How about the Spurs?
Best comparison is the last Lakers run to a title

I think tonight's loss made it clear that Spo has got to be fired.

Yeah, the Heat goes down and Spo is def out the door. He's been exposed and out-coached more this season than he was last season. The question is will Riley come in for one year or break up the 3? From what I've read and heard, he thought the team could still win constructed in a different way.

It's still too soon to think about it because I don't think it's over yet.

NBA anchors on ESPN are right. The Head never run and function like a team. Looks like pickup bball.

Spo is getting out-coached by Doc Rivers times 10 billion. Miami doesn't have the motivation to create plays on offense and hustle on defense.

Please, I'm talking about the Boston 4, the same 4 that people have written off the past 3 years, you realize they're on the brink of a 3rd Finals appearance don't you? That Bulls team is light years better, obviously, but they were that good because they had no quit mentally. I don't care if you like the comparison or not, but for me, it's appropriate.

Garbage.

The Bulls teams never aged as much as this Boston team did. This Boston core is literally in it's last year or so before these guys are done. In 98, Jordan and Pippen were not that old. Pippen and Jackson wanted out, MJ retired and Rodman was done.

Agreed. The big three will get at least one more year together. I don't think it is the right call. I think that the Heat desperately needs a bench and auctioning off one of those players is the best way to get it....but they will have one more year.

They definitely are. I don't feel the same way about the Heat. The second things go bad, you see that entire bench turn on each other. They don't handle adversity well (unless they are playing a team that they totally outmatch). I think like last year's NBA finals, the Heat are starting to fold mentally....and that is all on Spo.

I think Spo's failure is proving more and more that surrounding one team with top-tier talent isn't enough; they need a coach to get them over the hump as well. Phil Jackson's 11 rings have alot to do with his ability to coach his players and to gameplan against opposing team, and not just having stellar players like Jordan, Shaq, and Kobe. Spo has three of the top 15 talents in the NBA, and if Heat flames out again this year there's only one person to really point the fingers to. At least there will be plenty of puns involving "heat" when he is fired. :hehe:

The group of men will work as great as their leaders work.

Speolstra, James, and Wade lack the mental toughness to create cohesive set plays when its gets into the crunch.

To quote Stephen A. Smith(the same Stephen A. who said Boston has no chance) "Miami is Hollywood as hell." ESPN analyst are lame. Noone on the entire network gave Boston any chance, now they are changing their tune. Only Shaq and Kenny Smith said Boston in 6 in which Barkley killed those guys. I trust TNT way more when it comes to basketball more than ESPN. Can't wait to hear Skip tomorrow. :)

ESPN broadcasters and analysts change their tune based on whatever storyline will draw in ratings. They did it when the Pacers were beating the Heat ("The Heat are done! The Big 3 needs to be broken up!"), they did it when the Heat rebounded (even having the nerve to blame the media for writing the Heat off), and now they are right back to throwing the Heat under the bus.

In other news....from the ashes of the Heat's defeat, a viral legend is born:

No. I don't. I think right now the Celtics have the edge, but game six will be close and could go either way.

LOL, I heard that and thought it was pretty great to hear a kid say that knowing that his team lost a disappointing game, yet still tried to make them feel like winners.
