Anyone see Newton after he threw the interception? Even for the Pro Browl, that was a monumental lack of effort.

Nope. Just not blind to reality. Moore is not an NFL starter. Just how it is. He could however enjoy a very lucrative career as a high end backup QB like Charlie Batch (teams underestimate the value of a good backup QB).

I still think Moore is a starter...however...deep down I know he is not, cause if I.."I" were the GM of Miami I'd give him a contract extension now. 4 years/12 million. Back up money. 3 million a year. Let him compete in training camp for the starter QB job though. I think Flynn to Miami is a mistake. Only 2 starts. Although he's probably better than Kolb or bust Derek Anderson. Get off my damn Panthers, DA. >_< just go cry in the UFL or CFL.

I swear the Pro Bowl gets worse every year.

Also, how is the NFL the only sport that doesnt have any sort of skills competition during their All Star Game festivities? Would love to see them at least bring back the old QB Challenge.

They did, theyre just kinda boring an no one is in attendance

ans even for a pro bowl, Cam Newton played so terrible, shouldn't deserve to be there at all. Matthew Stafford wouldnt have lost the game.

I really didnt know the pro bowl was yesterday...I was busy watching the NHL all star game

What's funny is i can see it going exactly that way.

Honestly, I think too many people are writing off the Pats. I don't think the Giants defense can keep up with Brady. Bill Belichick doesn't lose to the same team twice in one season.

I think everyone is expecting a great game....but those are usually the ones that end up sucking. This Giants team isn't great. People are buying the hype. They are a thoroughly average team who got hot at the right time. I think that the Giants hot streak is going to come to an end in a big way.

We've been spoiled with some great Super Bowls the last 10 years. Most coming down to last minute field goals and TD's. I'm with Matt here though, I expect it to be more one sided than people believe.

Well, I think Giants' defense will have a better time stopping Brady than Pats' defense can with Eli, who is having a phenomenal season and can be counted as one of NFL's elite QB. And Brady can be stopped; just ask Ravens and what they did with him in the AFC Conference Title game. While it's true that Giants just got hot at the right time, in recent years the hottest team won the Superbowl, not the team that is favored to win. The Packers did it last year, and the Giants did it 4 years ago.

The Patriots may be favored by a field goal, but it seems like everyone "in the know," are kind of brushing that off and predicting the Giants.

The Pats defense is definitely weak, but Eli is beatable. You call him elite? Please. This is the same kid that everyone was making fun of for saying that he is in the same league as his brother. Yes, Eli has shimmers of greatness in clutch moments, but with 16 interceptions this season, he still has yet to be able to go from shimmers of greatness on occasion to consistent greatness. Eli is just as beatable (if not more so) than Brady and that is saying something considering how weak the Patriots defense is. Keep in mind, the first time these teams met, even though the G-Men squeaked by with a win, the Patriots pathetic defense limited Eli to 250 yards, a 77 % passer rating, and forced an interception. Those aren't even numbers of an elite rookie. Everyone is drinking the kool-aide but Eli can be beaten, easily.

Yes, Brady had a bad game last week...but I'd say that makes him all the more dangerous. I've never seen Tom Brady have back to back bad games. If the Patriots control the first three quarters, a comeback will be off the table for Eli. And that is exactly what I think will happen.

So I see Caldwell signed with the Ravens. Thank you God Almighty. I was horrified by the prospect of him being Pittsburgh's new OC.

Simulation of how that might have gone:

3rd & 8 at Pittsburgh's 25 yard line, 5 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Steelers trail by 6 points.

Ben: Okay coach, what's the play?

Caldwell: Umm. Hmm.

Ben: Come on, coach! We've only got a few seconds!

Caldwell: Uh, yeah. Hmmm. I don't know. You want to throw it? Mike, what do you think?

Tomlin: You're the OC! Call the play!

Caldwell: Umm, can you use another timeout?

Tomlin: We only have two left. I don't want to waste one with this much time left!

Caldwell: (pulls out cell phone) Hello, Peyton? You watching right now? What should I do?

I don't think the Bucs organization has a clue as to what it's doing. Their decisions have been completely incoherent ever since they canned Gruden.

I'm not going to discount the Patriots. I am curious how mobile Gronkowski is going to be. I heard something on how his injury is similar to Roethlisberger. On paper, it does seems more even this year than it was 4 years ago between the teams.

I thought the Giants had a good chance 4 years ago, and I think they have a better chance this year. Will see how the pass rush does.

What I find interesting is an interview I heard from Belichick and I'm paraphrasing on how it only scoring more points matter, which is interesting since he was a defense minded coach.

Really excited for this game. Go Giants.

Well, Giants have substained alot of injuries this season, and if not for Victor Cruz's emergence as their go-to guy Eli probably won't have many targets to pass to. Brady is a better QB than Eli, but Giants' defense is also better than Patriots' because they can generate a pass rush, which is crucial to create pressure against the QB. And Pats will probably have to deal with a limited Gron due to his high ankle injury, and they don't have a backup for him. In the end, I think whoever made the least amount of mistakes will win, as attest by the defeats suffered by the Ravens and the Niners.

I don't see how a lot more people are picking the Giants ? Its a 3 point spread . Naturally its going to be closer to 50/50 on who people pick , than 07 when everyone laughed at the Giants ..... And Eli is an hall of fame qb , snd now the only qb in NY sports history to start in 2 Superbowls . If he isd not Elite he is clearly underrated and the best qb in Ny history Better than Nameth .

Every qb is beatable . So is Brady ...

This ga,e will come down to who protects their qb better , and turnovers ...

1) Eli is not hall of fame caliber. He could be, but he isn't yet. He is more in range with the likes of Randall Cunningham, Boomer Esiason and fellow NYG Phil Simms, guys who were almost there....but never quite good enough. Eli will finish his career with slightly better stats than those gentlemen, but when considering the time that they played the game (in a much more run heavy league), he is comparable and probably a bit beneath Esiason and Cunningham. Furthermore, Eli's TD to interception ratio is ABYSMAL for an NFL starter and assuming that he does not win another ring, that will ultimately keep him out of the hall of fame. He may slide in, in later years...but I doubt it. If he doesn't get another ring, he will always be in his brother's shadow and will ultimately become lost in that shadow. Even if he does get another ring, while rings do talk, his number of interceptions may still keep him out unless he has an absolutely stellar final few years (keep in mind, at 31 he is no spring chicken). With two rings and his stats being what they are, Eli is borderline.

2) Saying that someone is the best New York quarterback is like saying that a piece of **** is the best smelling of other ****. :oldrazz:
