Also...if the Ravens make it to the SB...Ray Lewis will (I think) be the only player left from the one in 2000. What a career.

Regarding Eli....y'think Brady in the back of his mind is rubbing his hands enthusiastically and growling "him again....!"...or is he saying "Crap....him again...." ? :woot:

I think anybody the Patriots face, their defense should be saying, "Crap..."

Whether that be Alex Smith or Joe Flacco, but especially Eli Manning. I'm sure the Patriots are thinking about nothing but the Ravens, but...I'm sure they want another shot at Eli and the Giants.

I think they should assemble an intentionally bad team somewhere just for other NFL teams to use as a punching bag. Just pick a franchise no one is particularly concerned with (**cough**Jacksonville) and move them to a new market where no one wants to LIVE, let along gives a crap about football. Then, put together the biggest POS franchise ever conceived. I'm talking about a team so bad that they dump Gatorade on the coach when they manage to actually score a touchdown. Call them something like the Newark Homicides or the Centralia Toxic Gas.

President & CEO: Matt Millen
GM: Jeff Ireland
Coach: Jim Caldwell
Offensive Coordinator: Bruce Arians
Defensive Coordinator: Juan Castillo
QBs: Curtis Painter, JaMarcus Russell, John Beck and Colt McCoy
RBs: Shonn Greene, Peyton Hillis and Ryan "The Sprain" Torain
O-Line: anyone from the Steelers or Bears, take your pick
WR Corps: Chad Ochocinco, Roy Williams, Limas Sweed and Braylon Edwards
Defense: Albert Haynesworth, along with other various castaways from Tampa Bay and New England. Shawne Merriman is also mandatory, though he'll be lost for the season after an injury sustained while walking from his car to the training facilities on the first day of OTAs.

That's always gone without saying........except for maybe the Giants. :oldrazz:

I think a lot of people would love a 'rematch'.

Put 'em in L.A..

Yeah, I want a rematch. I'll still be rooting for the Giants in that instance, but either way, I just think it will be the most entertaining matchup.

I just hope to God we're spared of another Har-Bowl. Thanksgiving was awful enough. I don't need to have the Super Bowl ruined by 5 million clips of Jack Harbaugh saying weird sh** and his two a**hole sons imitating him.

LOL, that's the funny thing about it too. Regardless of what team ends up going to that $50 trillion Taj Mahal they want to build out there... the team will probably suck for 10+ years.

Probably, but Carolina did well in their early years.

LA just doesn't seem to be a football town.

Falcons have hired Mike Nolan as new defensive coordinator.

Good luck. If it weren't for that skunk, we'd have a better QB, but oh well. I sure hope Smith continues to make strides & develops a better "A game".

Yes. Because Mike Nolan struggled to develop a rookie QB, means he's going to struggle as a Defensive Coordinator too.

Especially with all of the ****** defenses h's coached in the past. 2000 Ravens, I'm looking at you. :o

In my opinion he's lame in all coaching aspects.

Granted, but after the mess he left behind in SF, I have nothing but contempt for the guy.

I really don't think 49ers fans are all that sane, Mike.

my two cents on the nfc championships game...San Fran has been consistent all year long while the Giants have not. Right when you think the Giants are going turn it around they lose...u know which 49ers team will show up Sunday! U dont know which Giant team will show up...thats the difference...49ers win!

I think that's unfairly attributing the Giants' success to a fluke. There's no reason not to expect the same team that's played like they have in the last games of the season and into these playoffs. The Giants have finally found how good they can be this postseason...they didn't stumble on to it. It's most likely that whoever wins this game will do it by playing their best and beating the other team at their best.

But by all means...if you're the Niners...consider the Giants a fluke that's bound to show their 'true' colors any minute....aaaaannnny minute now....okay that's enough good play, show us the real thing....um....please....? :D

judging by the comments of Giants players yesterday it seems the Giants are the one underestimating the 49ers

Steve Spagnuolo is interviewing with the Saints.

**** :cmad:

Which comments? The ones that sounded like the ones when commenting about the Packers and how good of a team they'll be facing? Or the ones that talk about the level of confidence that they're playing with? The Giants didn't enter the playoffs in a position to underestimate anyone...they're not about to start now. Media...that's another story.

Again...if the Giants' being here is a fluke...how is it that one hopes that it will somehow end....luck? How do you count on that? Don't you think that treating it like a game against a legitimately good team who's earned their way here through their play is a better way of preparing...regardless of whether that luck happens or not?
