They guarantee a win this sunday...its on espn yesterday...

Again...you're responding to ESPN's spin on it.

Piere-Paul saying that they'd beat the PAckers was his expressing the confidence they were playing with, not discounting the Packers. And it happened to come out true. As for the Niners...

http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/artic..._beat_the_49ers_but_wont_guarantee_it/9402017

From the New York Post: “I’m going to go ahead and answer this for you: Do we feel we’re gonna win in San Fran?’’ Tuck said. “Yes, we feel like we’re gonna win in San Fran. Am I guaranteeing a win? No, I’m not.’’

Rolle said they'd win
"We wouldn't say we're unstoppable but our mindset is extreme at this point and we're not going to be denied," Rolle continued. "That's our mindset. In our minds, we can't be beat."
Because he believes that.

Please show me where a Giants player...or anyone...is regarding the Niners as inferior or overrated....as opposed to, say, your comments about the 'true' Giants being mediocre as reflected by their season record. I highly doubt the 49ers are looking at the Giants that way.

There's a story on how Vernon Davis saying he "prayed" for the Giants to win.

ESPN is just spinning a few sentences on what they are saying.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just heard that the Colts fired Caldwell.

Spagnuolo reported to have turned down the Colts job. I'm wondering if it's because Caldwell was still "coach".

I would've thought the people of Indianapolis flocked to the streets when they heard the news.

Again, I have yet to see anything about how the Giants are underestimating the 49ers, or in any way dismissing how good they are.

Hence, L.A....when you said..

L.A. said:
judging by the comments of Giants players yesterday it seems the Giants are the one underestimating the 49ers

...you judged wrong, thank you.

fine ill guarantee a win by 49ers on Sunday!!!:cmad:

Because of the Giants' 9-7 regular season?
Because the fact that 49ers has been more consistent, a better defense, homefield advantage, and u know which 49er team will show up on Sunday!!!

Again, why would you know any better what 49er team than the Giants team like you commented before? By that reasoning...would you know what kind of a 15-1 team (including a win against these same Giants) like the Packers would show up last Sunday?

If you're going to have confidence in your team, fine. In these playoffs, there are no flukes getting this far...they get this far because they're earning it by playing the best. Never mind that the Giants had key injuries during the regular season that have finally come back healthy..there's nothing inexplicable as to how the Giants have reached this game. Regardless how inconsistent they were 8 weeks ago...they're consistent as hell now. So if the niners want to beat them, they'll have to beat them with play, not relying on an assumed Giant inconsistency that will somehow creep back in. Everyone should know what kind of teams will show up on Sunday: Good ones that play really well.

My take on the NFC Championship: I think the 49ers will win because they will get WAY more pressure on Eli than GB did with Justin and Aldon Smith. The 49 secondary played extremely well against the saints receivers until the end. Vernon Davis will cause be a huge matchup problem for the Giants but I do think it will be a tough defensive game.

Heart tells me Niners
Brain tells me Giants

Patriots vs. Giants is going to happen again...FML

I gotta go with the 49ers for one reason: inconsistency.

The Giants might be hot right now but I shudder to think if they pull a Jekyll-Hyde. That Falcons game displayed some of those regular season shades.

I don't know. If the Niners score first and that defense puts pressure on Eli...

I think the Giants will try to take away the middle and limit Davis, and the NY runners will have a big game.

Giants and Patriots for me, I want another epic rematch.

I can't see them turning into the team that lost against the Redskins, for example. They can struggle for a quarter, but again, this team is playing up to its full-strength potential now, not just tripping over a four-leaf clover. Even if there were shot lapses in the Flacons game, it was still a rout. Yes, the Niners are a better team and should capitalize on that more. I don't see this Giants team just not showing up. I think both teams are in a position to play at their best, and the one who wins will earn that win by beating the other team....and might come down to who gets the ball last again.

I do too. There could be a Harbowl....but I dunno....I'd rather wait to see that in a time when both men have much better teams. The Pats vs Giants provides the best story line and I think would be the best game.

I feel the exact same way. I think I want to root for the Niners cause they are kind of the perennial underdogs (even though they are 2 point favorites, it just feels like this whole season is a Cinderella story of an underdog rising up). But right now....The Giants just feel like a more complete team and have momentum on their side. Plus, I don't think that Coughlin will let them revert to their Redskins performance in the NFC championship.

Thats easier said then done and its pretty hard to run on the 49ers, if the Giants are one dimensional, it might be a long day for them.

I don't think they are one-dimesional in that they can get the big plays either way..and they can adjust and take what they can get. And I think that's what you have to somehow prevent against the Giants. Put it this way, I think at this point they can adjust if they work on their running game this week. The obviously have deep capability, but can take little gains at a time if that works beat. I do expect the run to become used more in this game and be more effective. It'll have to be against this better D.

We have already seen Pats vs Giants. However, we never had a Haubaugh Bowl and I think it would become the story of the year if these two brothers face off against each other. It'd be like Payton and Eli's teams play against each other in the Superbowl.

Pretty much every 49ers fan on here has annoyed me greatly at one point or another, so let's go Giants. :o

We did have a Harbaugh Bowl. It was a Thursday Night NFL Network game and as you've just proven, totally forgettable. :hehe: The way those two offenses play, I don't see that game being any good a second time around.
