How was I right, then?

I love Thursday Night football. It's good to get a game near the middle of the week. I think NFL Network does a great job of covering the games too.

I think you're being a bit overzealous with the Pitt/Cincy score.

Pittsburgh winning by 28? Not gonna happen.

Yeah, I'm as big a Pittsburgh fan as you can get and I seriously don't see that happening either. I'd be really happy if it did though. I wish I could just have one season... just ONE... where the Steelers dominate the league and blow out the majority of the teams they play against. I know, I know, I'm spoiled because of how successful the Steeler have been overall, but their games can be tough to watch. They tend to keep the score WAY too close for comfort.

So this weekend, Ben or Tomlin or Harrison needs to rally the troops, Immortals style.

FIGHT FOR YOUR DIVISION!
FIGHT FOR THE PLAYOFFS!
FIGHT FOR THE NEXT LOMBARDIIIIIIIII!

You guys already have seven.

Spread the wealth, man :csad:.

Well, we might have seven if we can nab another one this season. Came close last year until Rashard Mendenhall went all Mendenfumble and killed a very promising drive in the Super Bowl. I hope to God we let him go when his contract is up.

But anyway, six is still a great number. :yay:

I think your Bengals are showing a lot of promise though. AJ Green is a beast and Dalton might be the real deal. It's always a little hard to tell with rookie QBs because there's no pro film on them early on so sometimes they can have a kickass rookie year but falter in the future. But he has certainly been impressive.

Of course, I have to hate the Bengals because they're a division rival but I'd rather the Steelers be duking it out with you guys or the Browns every year in the post season rather than the Ravens.

Right on time, that train's never late.

:) where you guys get these cool smilies at? There's a secret forum isn't there...stop treating me like the ice king of the community...actually he's cool, so u all think I'm cool and fly like and smooth. Abywaaay...

The boys play today, but the men play tomorrow. NFL Sunday...soon. ^_^.

THIS is why I've been saying Rivers is having a really off year by his own standards & this is why his Owner & Rivers himself agrees. Hell, he got pissed & told everyone to stop making excuses for him, that he's not hurt that he's just making bad decisions.

Chargers do this every year; sleep through the 1st half & then turn into Terminators on the 2nd half.

I loath that behavior from them. They should be terminators through the entire season, not half.

Rivers is having a crappy season thus far but I believe he'll be back for the second half. Peyton, Tom and Drew have gone through similar phases.

As I posted a few days ago, the Chargers lockeroom blaming everything on Gates because he's 'old & fat' was ridiculous & reeks of a breakdown. Then you have V Jack just quitting on a route that could have turned the tide & won that game, it's not a good look.

If they keep this up, the Raiders will win that Division.

That was one anonymous team source, doesn't mean it represents the entire locker room at all. And Gates hasn't been the same since his foot injury from that playoff game against the Colts couple years back. At times he does look very slow and can't get open like he used to.

I'm not writing the season off yet, it could be worse. Rivers is looking frustrated out there. Badly frustrated, like Peyton Manning pre-Suber Bowl win. This team isn't as talented as it once was and it's showing on the offensive line and defense.

I think the Raiders will win that division. I had my doubts but after Thursday I think Palmer will settle in fine and if they get McFadden back (and they'd BETTER because my fantasy team is dying without him!) they could be a juggernaut.

I think this is the second year in a row the Chargers don't get it together enough to make the post-season. They would have lost a lot more games last year if Rivers hadn't played as well as he did. So now that Rivers IS playing poorly (and so are his receivers) that spells disaster.

The Chiefs got exposed by the Dolphins of all teams... I don't see them finishing well.

And the Broncos got lucky last week. That won't happen again. I hope Tebow runs that team right into the ground.

Palmer's issue is he holds the ball too damn long and it takes him too long to make decisions, if he doesn't have an awesome O-line he'll get exposed and look as **** as he is.

Honestly, I don't think he's a first string QB anymore.

Rivers IS playing poorly, but of the 5 best QBs from last year (Brees, Brady, Manning, Rogers and himself) he has/had comfortably the worst line of them all. It's hard to make excuses though because they ALL have to overcome some shortcoming on their teams. It's just hard for people to feel sorry for Rivers because his issue is his O-line moreso than the "skilled positions" like RBs and WRs.

It's why Ben Rapistberger's month has been so impressive... guy's line doesn't set the world on fire either and their secondary is balls (so much so that Flacco was able to break bad form against them).

But it's pretty hard to overcome a s*** O-line. It's why I kind of respect Cutler despite wanting him to get destroyed... It' impossible to be an elite QB behind an O-Line like the Bears... yet he's not complete garbage.

This is only Palmer's third game (well, more like 2 1/2), so while he does play behind a great O-Line I think the fact that he's improving week by week is very encouraging. I think if he continues his progress, Raiders have what it takes to win AFC West, and even if they get bounced in the first round it'd still be quite an achievement.

Finally! Sitting down in my underpants with a bottle of Coopers Clear watching the Ravens/Steelers game.

Have been moving house for the last three days and while I've had it on TV while I worked, I wasn't able to really sit down and WATCH the game until now.

Can't wait for the big game 49ers vs Giants!

I can't figure out who I want to pick for that game. On one hand, I really don't like Alex Smith in this match up. On the other, San Fran has Gore and Eli just finds ways to self-destruct in games that he SHOULD win.

this might just turn into a comedy of errors....and its a win win either way IMO....if the Giants win, great...if not, they still lead the division and its another team that SF surprises

I just noticed in week 16 a lot of games are on Saturday. Is there a reason why?
