2011 NFL Thread: The Lazarus Season - Part 6

I don't think Brady is overrated but I do believe that the media talks up his feats even when they are more the result of other players doing amazing things. For example, that 100-yard TD that he threw to Welker against the Dolphins. That was essentially a 10-yard pass that Welker turned into a 100 yard TD. But all you heard that week was how awesome Brady was.

Now, fast-forward to the Steelers/Cards game a few weeks ago. Ben throws a perfect 40-50 yard bomb to Wallace who then turns it into a 100 yard TD (it was called 95 yards but that's really inaccurate because Ben threw it from the end zone). Ben got some praise, but all anyone really talked about was how fast Wallace is, despite the throw being much more impressive than the one Brady did.

He has a great personality for pro wrestling though lol.

Well Ben is an a'hole.

Straw man argument. The NFL is full of a-holes. Regardless of what you might think of Ben (or what anyone else might), I'm talking about giving credit where its due for play on the field.

Yes, there are tons of talented people who happen to be jackasses. I don't even like Ben anymore, but he deserves credit.

Yeah I don't take any credit away from Big Ben. I thought it was a good game against the Patriots and treated them like he would a co-ed in a bathroom.

And San Diego is effing up the start of my picks for the week. :down

Wow. Palmer's playing ball.

Wow, I can't believe the Raiders get a call like that. That usually a call that Indy get.

I cant get over that fake punt call. That is the dumbest rule I've ever seen.

THIS is why I've been saying Rivers is having a really off year by his own standards & this is why his Owner & Rivers himself agrees. Hell, he got pissed & told everyone to stop making excuses for him, that he's not hurt that he's just making bad decisions.

Chargers do this every year; sleep through the 1st half & then turn into Terminators on the 2nd half.

You cant hang this loss on rivers, he played perfect tonight, no bad decisions. If Im the chargers WR coach Im chewing a new whole in vincent jacksons butt today, how do you not go up for the ball in the endzone and just look the other way after a nudge. Is it me or does rivers act like he has no respect for turner with they talk on the sidelines? He just shrugs off turner everytime.

My Raiders took care of business last night. If only we didn't let Denver and Buffalo back into the game with all of our penalties we should have only one loss.

Look brady as a person is a big pile of poo. He loses games and runs off the field before anyone.

The guy never shakes peoples hands, especially after losses against rivals.

That is what I call a loser.

Can't a guy just want to be left alone to enjoy his water slides?

I can just imagine him squealing like a girl going down that slide.

Oh man ... That picture is something else. I'll be laughing at that all morning.

Yippeeeeeeeeeeee!

Did you even watch the game?

Rivers played a good game all things considered. He made some nice throws whenever he was able to get any sort of protection, which wasn't often. Dombrowski had nothing for Wimbley, the game was basically over once McNeil went down.

Palmer on the other hand had a clean pocket to throw from most of the night and he looked like an all-pro. His pick came on as pass where he got hit late.

I kind of felt bad for Rivers after a while. He spent most of the game running for his life.

:hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

Rivers is the textbook definition of a *****e.
