Hanie has potential....

I'd expect Matt Leinart to well....play like Matt Leinart (more incompletions then completions, a bunch of turnovers, sacked several times and at least 4 co-eds banged)
he's already past 4, after all this was a bye week.

I think Leinart plays to a decent level and not as bad as we saw in Arizona.

Good news: we don't have to see Tarvaris Jackson suck again this week, since he has a bye week.

Although he probably sucks there too. IMO, Jackson is the worst QB in the NFL. At least Tebow can make plays with his feet. Jackson is to NFL QB's what Channing Tatum is to acting: awful except that he and the people who keep hiring him don't know it.

Cutler is out 6-8 weeks according to NBC Sports, so not necessarily done for the year if Chicago makes the playoffs. Bears have Oak, KC, Den, Sea, GB, Min left. Some winnable games there, maybe even Green Bay if they have lost and are resting starters at that point.

Don't the womens love channing tatum

Wasn't Aaron Rodgers drafted in the Mike Sherman era?

Todd Collins? That would be a terrible decision. He was atrocious in the NFC Championship game last year and limited action when Cutler got hurt. A lot worse than Calib Hanie. And if I remember correctly David Garrard has an issue with his back. Might not even be able to pass a physical. I don't think bringing him in during this time of the year is going to do much either. He'd have to learn the offense and get accustomed to his receivers in a week. I don't think Garrard would want to go there anyways.
Why wouldn't Garrard want a job?

Why wouldn't Garrard want a job?
Well when the season started he seemed pretty picky in terms of where he wanted to go. He didn't want to go to a place where he would be a backup and not have a shot at the starting job. At the same time he also wanted to go to a team he felt could be competitive which basically reduces his teams to practically none. There aren't going to be many teams that are competitive without an established starter at quarterback. This is all information that was relayed through his agent. Maybe his feelings have changed though since it was revealed that he has a back injury.

Woot woot! 49ers are 9-1!!! Can't wait for Thursday game against the Hardbaugh bros!

Nothing to be ashamed about having the 2nd best record in the entire NFL

and their 1 loss is to the Cowboys, they should be ashamed

As I recall, that game was actually pretty close, and besides Cowboys aren't such a bad team (despite the fact that Romo costed them a couple of victories). It's gonna be interesting when the Packers and the Niners meet in the playoff.

This is going to be the best Thanksgiving the NFL has to offer in years. Maybe ever since it has three games (ever since NFL Network has had it's Thursday Night game) and the Lions aren't terrible. We have two good games and one decent game, which is better than having the Lions always be terrible and having one of the other two games be good if we were lucky.

I really hope we go into Baltimore and put it on them. It would be great for the nation to see the 49ers get another win in the eastern time zone against a big time opponent.

Best offense vs. Best Defense...it wil definitely be interesting however I'm a strong believer that defense wins championships, in any sport

In what world is Green Bay a winnable game for Chicago? Even if Cutler WERE available we've had their number...

I feel sorry for any QB who would have to step in and be expected to do anything with the split-seconds that O-line gives them to work with.

As much as I don't like Cutler he's been a top ten QB THIS YEAR (not career, or generally... factor in the fact that certain other guys like Rivers and Flacco are completely out of form) and he's barely staying afloat with that line.

It's winnable cause it's so late in the season and the pack may have nothing to play for. So as he said they may be resting their startes

What? And playing guys like Peprah..? Spelling linemen with rookies like Newhouse..? Make do with James or Driver as wide outs?

Yeah. I'd be cool with that...

actually no....most of us here value Genesis' opinion because he doesn't sound like a spoiled brat when he posts

In the afterglow of a hard fought W, I just saw this. I always knew that dessicated chunk of charcoal in your chest was capable of affection.

As to the BIG Thanksgiving Day game, both Harbaughs are calling this game a must win AND the 49ers are coming in favored by 3.5 points.

Frankly, I think that seems about right, San Fran is playing excellent football & their ground game has been damn near unstoppable even with Frank Gore rotating in & out with injuries.

We HAVE to get to Alex Smith better than we did Dalton or we're screwed.

You mean the big one that ISN'T in Detroit...

I'm curious to see how we'll handle the legit deep threat of Calvin Johnson.

As I've said before, I don't particularly give a damn about the Packers one way or the other. I DO, however, respect that franchise & that extends from Mike down to Aaron, I like the way they conduct themselves. You can be a champ and not be a prick abut it.

Meh, I guess I'll turn my indifference onto the Pack. Seeing as Rodgers is my Fantasy QB, I suppose I should hope that he manages to flip it all around the yard.
