Still, the Ravens did a good job of capitalizing on the Bengals' mistakes. I can't take that away from them. All of their touchdowns were deserved.

But goddamn, where the hell was the officiating in that last series?

Well, the Ravens will find a way to screw up at some point later in the season. They always do. :oldrazz:

Stupid Timeout by the Redskins. Would have put them back 5 more yards with the delay of game.

Like I said a few minutes ago, damn good (frightening) game by the Bengals.

As to the horse collar, guys on the radio here are even admitting it was indeed a penalty worthy offense. However, after seeing the Bengals attempt to f'n scalp Torrey Smith, I lack any real empathy. Legal or not, that was f'd up.

They typically get defeated by a better team in the playoffs. I'm not sure how that would be "screwing up".

Pulling someone's hair for a tackle should be looked into by the NFL. I'd agree with that. One of these days, someone is going to have a chunk of their scalp ripped out.

But it's not just the horse-collar, Genesis. Suggs also had a blow to the head on Dalton, and the last sack was a tackle below the knee. That's three penalties in the last series that would have (and should have) gotten the Bengals 1st and goal.

That's not to say the Bengals would have tied/won the game if they had gotten those called, mind you. But the fact that we didn't even have the opportunity to tie the game because of those uncalled penalties pisses me off.

The refs are less likely to call a horse collar penalty when the guy doesn't end up going to the ground. Maybe should have, but it's not as obvious.

I F**KING hate Norv Turner's playcalling.

Why hasn't he been fired yet?

Dude, they got beat by the Jaguars and the Seahawks. That's screwing up! :oldrazz:

Oh well. I predicted the Bengals would lose this game anyway, so I don't know why I'm pissed.

Beer time. Congrats on 1st place in the AFCN, Genesis .

Well I understand where you're coming from, worst way to lose is with uncalled penalties or badly called penalties & the Ravens have more than their fair share of that.

I counted 2 late hits on Flacco, 1 borderline at the knee area, & what I felt was CLEAR pass interference with Torrey in the 3rd.

Can't say it enough, you guys played an awesome game that could have went either way, especially since we kept letting Dalton pick apart our secondary.

I'm done. I'm calling out now. Chargers lose.

Poor tackling and playcalling. :cmad:

I hope Norv gets the axe. I, as a fan, am sick of it, especially after 2-3 years of this garbage.

It was a good game.

Frustrating on my end, but a good game nonetheless .

How do you figure they "always" lose to crappy teams later in the season? You'd probably have to go back to that '07 season to find that.

Because they do. They are a very well balanced team with, probably, the best defense in the league and it's screwing up if you lose in the playoffs no matter what caliber of team it is. They've beaten the Steelers twice...and if they meet the Steelers again in the post season I will bet that the Ravens give up the loss

Spidey is doing a little Friendly Neighborhood Trolling.

He's just trying to razz me, lol. Just wave a broom in his direction, I guarantee he'll get the message. :D

Hey, the Steelers do the same kind of crap. They look like the best team in the NFL and then blow it. It must be an AFC North thing. :oldrazz:

Right… screwing up is when one team gives it their all and loses to a better team. Totally makes sense.

They've beaten the Steelers twice...and in the playoffs if they lose they are losing to an inferior team. They've done it before when the Steelers were a wildcard and they were the division champs. It does totally make sense. :cwink:

Heh, I'm starting to take a shine to this Bunk fellow.

This is the first time in several seasons the Ravens can actually say they're better than the Steelers. Is this even an actual game that you're referencing anyway? I don't remember the Ravens losing to the Steelers after having won the division.

They won the division in 2008 when the Steelers won the Superbowl. They were one of the victims that the Steelers went through and were heavily favored to win the game.

I was merely busting chops, as poster Genesis pointed out, considering I'm a Steelers fan. Apparently you are someone who takes your football way too seriously. Merely pointing out that Ravens beat really good teams and then drop to the likes of the Seahawks and Jaguars, who just lost to the Cleveland Browns today. :oldrazz:

Pretty sure the Steelers won the division that year and swept them.

Anyway, I have no problem with some crap talking. You could at least know what you're talking about though.
