The Steelers (offense anyway) should be embarrassed over their performance in that game. I'm certainly happy that they won, and that the D is finally getting turnovers again, but that score should have been a lot higher.

Of course, none of that matters. In fact, no games this week mattered except Denver/San Diego, because f***ing Tim Tebow won again and that's all we'll hear about this week on ESPN, NFLN and every sports website known to man. I swear, I think there is an NFL conspiracy to get that doofus in the playoffs.

I'm sure some idiots will make a plea to get Tim Tebow on the ballot for Offensive Player of the Year.

Pretty much. The stats don't make sense.

At least Tebow got rid of Turner...

That's pretty wild that three AFCN teams are in the running right now. The Steelers had better win next week to ensure that they don't screw up their chances.

The Jets will probably edge the Bengals out of the wildcard spot.

The Bengals have to beat either the Steelers or the Ravens in order to have a real shot at the playoffs.

Also, nicknames for this week...

Flat Linert

Stevie "Still Blaming God?" Johnson

Ndamustomp U

Tavaris "I Lost to the Redskins" Jackson

Houston Hexed-ans

Philadelphia "Sweet Dreams, Team" Eagles

Tyler Picko

Yeah, they need that win over the Bengals and then over the Browns as well. Basically...Steelers need to just win out and hopefully the Ravens lose a game at some point so they can get a better spot in the playoffs. As of what that playoff picture looks like now...I think it looks pretty accurate but I think the Raiders may screw the pooch and, somehow, Denver finds a way to make it in.

Also I agree...I think the Jets, if they continue to put up solid wins, may sneak in the Bengals spot if they lose to the Steelers next week. It's a VERY interesting playoff picture in the AFC that's for sure.

...so my Colts lost again. (Not that they're even trying at this point.)

Oh ****ing ****ing please. Carolina squeaked out with the W. Colts D gave Carolina all they had. Colts may had won with Dan Osomething starting. Carolina only won by 8...

Jets also are losing the tie-breakers as well...It will be tough

Yeah but I still think New York will get it. It'll be tougher than it was last week as without even Leinart, the Bengals should be able to beat Houston but I doubt that they will beat either Pittsburgh or Baltimore (unless of course, Baltimore's play-off seed is locked in Week 17, in which case they may rest their starters but I doubt that will happen with Pittsburgh being right at their heels).

Meanwhile, assuming that the Jets lose only one more game (probably either to Philly or New York) they will be tied with the Bengals if the Bengals lose two. Both teams will be 11-5. I'm not sure who gets the tie-breaker as both will have the same number of conference wins and losses and I don't think they have any games in common where one team won and the other lost.

That being said, I think that the Jets will win out and I could see Cinci losing to Houston with a third string QB. I could see the Jets going 11-5 and the Bengals going 10-6.

Obligatory Comment: Matt thinks the Bengals will lose out? Shocking.

:whatever: I never said lose out. I said lose to the Steelers, the Ravens, and possibly the Texans.

Norv Turner took over a Chargers team that came off a 14-2 season, and every season since their record has declined, and this season they've lost six in a row. I guess he must have a damning picture of their GM AJ Smith or something, because there's no way he won't get fired anywhere else.

The Chargers are absolutely pathetic. Norv has run that team right into the ground.

We will see, but AJ Green is ridiculous and with him the Bengals are a completely different team.

Texans have to get Kellen Clemens in start mode. Yates is good, but he will get chewed apart.

AJ Green just needs to go to a competent team....

*had to steal that from another thread*

AJ Green is perfectly fine where he is.

Bengals have been competent thanks to him...

I meant lose out of the playoffs. :o You know I love you Matt.

:argh: It's not so far fetched. They've missed the playoffs in 19 of the past 21 seasons, so I really don't think it is such a stretch to suggest it may happen again, especially with New York playing well.

Yes, they are. But they are still not at the level where they can compete with truly good teams and win.

AJ Green just needs to go to a competent team....

True. Marvin Lewis has done what Marvin Lewis always does in the hot seat, saved his job. Next season they will be right back to mediocre form.

Tell that to Ocho. The franchise anchored him down for the prime of his career, they will do it to Green. Until they have an owner who cares about devoting the resources to having a winning team, rather than spending just enough to keep butts in the seats, the Bengals will continue to destroy young talent.

Haha, one thing that I found hilarious was Marvin Lewis claiming AJ Green to be the best #1 draft pick he has ever been around....

Clearly, Marvin Lewis does not know what he is saying

I think their owner is an idiot too, but he go those picks from the Palmer trade and won that battle.

He is a lunatic, but it would take some serious **** to mess this up moving forward.

Huge fan of Andy Dalton...A big surprise he has been

Mike Brown will find a way. I really wouldn't be surprised at all to see him draft players who are cheaper alternatives to quality picks.
