AJ Green is going to finish out whatever pitiful contract Cincy gave him and go to a real team for real money

desperate teams....he's gone after the 4 years

make your peace with it now

Well my Raiders won again but Denver is starting to worry me. They are starting to look good. Hopefully the Raiders can fend them off.

The Chargers are absolutely pathetic. Norv has run that team right into the ground.

Norv is a bad head coach, but he's not the one who has left that team lacking talent all over the field. AJ Smith deserves his share of the blame.

Haha, one thing that I found hilarious was Marvin Lewis claiming AJ Green to be the best #1 draft pick he has ever been around....

Clearly, Marvin Lewis does not know what he is saying

He knows exactly what he's saying, he's just hyping up his player the way every coach does. I mean, didn't Rex Ryan call Mark Sanchez an elite QB before?

Please get healthy soon Jay ... Hanie looked horrible. Reminded me of the "good old days" when the Bears had NO offense whatsoever. Made me miss Rex Grossman.

Even though I still think Raiders paid way too much for Carson Palmer, I think with Palmer starting to play like his old self and Raiders having a great ground attack to go with Palmer's arm, the Raiders is the team that I believe will win the AFC West. Tebow may be winning now, but the real unsung heroes are their defense, because they're keeping the score low enough for Tebow to have his 4th quarter comebacks. If their defense gave up too many points, then it'll be forcing Tebow to throw and that'll be bad news for the Broncos.

I've read a lot of speculation today that Philadelphia may try to deal Reid's contract to San Diego after the season.

Raiden, I agree; but neitherless, like Dangerman, I'm a little concern with Denver as well...Raiders got a history of tripping over their own foot and blowing it.

Mind you, it is just columnists speculating at this point, but the move makes a lot of sense for the Eagles. Philly would be on the hook for 8 million dollars if they released Reid. By dealing his contract, they could ease that blow. Now people say that Reid shouldn't be fired but I disagree. The Eagles gave him everything he asked for and more this off season. They spent millions in free agency. Someone needs to take the fall for this season.

From San Diego's perspective it makes less sense. They're going to want a coach with a proven record, but Andy Reid is essentially a more tenured Norv Turner. Both have a history of players quitting on them. Both have had solid teams fall apart. Neither can win in the spotlight of the playoffs.

San Diego, IMO, needs a disciplinarian coach. Brian Billick would be a good fit, I think.

The Broncos schedule implies to me that it won't happen. They play Chicago in two weeks. That defense is going to tear Tebow a new pooper. Then they have New England the week after. While NE's defense is poor, Tebow has been thriving based on his defense keeping him in games. The Denver defense is not good enough to keep it close against New England's offense. Even if Denver wins every game but those two, Oakland would still have to lose three. Then again, they play Detroit and Green Bay and if they lose to either KC or San Diego, that makes three and Denver with the better division record (assuming they only lose to New England and Chicago) would win the tie breaker.

I suppose it is possible. Hue Jackson better have his boys ready to play the Chargers in week 17.

While Chicago will likely tear Tebow a new one, you have to accept the possibility that he might not be the worst QB on the day because it's hard to imagine that O-line letting any prospective QB "find his feet" within just a few games.

Cutler in, I'd say the Bears would have that one. With him out I can see two QBs flailing before superior defenses... and that becomes anyone's game.

I agree with the Pats though. As bad as the Pats defense is, I have trouble believing that Tebow is good enough to properly exploit them. Surely they can just shut down the ground when they face that kind of one dimensional threat... Can't they?

But if you watched the Giants, Cowboys and Steelers against the Patriots, a good defense can frazzle Brady.

Yeah, if it can get at him up the middle. I don't know that the Broncos can, as good as their defense has been.

But if you watched the Giants, Cowboys and Steelers against the Patriots, a good defense can frazzle Brady.

But I question how good they really are. They've played two really good offenses this season, Detroit and Green Bay. Both games were blow outs. Mind you, I don't count Cinci as it was week 2 and they were still finding their rhythm. Pre-collapse San Diego put up 29 points on them. Even though they beat Oakland, the Raiders still scored 24 points. Denver's defense has been good against New York (Jets), Kansas City, Miami, and post-collapse San Diego. That's not exactly an impressive resume. Brady will pick them apart. Hell, I could even see Matt Forte putting up 150 yards against them.

Looking at their schedule, it's possible for them to go 9-7 (Wins against Minnesota, Buffalo & Kansas City).

Vince Young is looking pretty good, surprisingly so. I'd say his plan to show the League that he's still able to play at a high level has succeeded, he'll be starting for a team next season.

ESPN has him projected with Kansas City, Seattle, or Minnesota.

I've read a lot of speculation today that Philadelphia may try to deal Reid's contract to San Diego after the season.

Neither team can do that yet. They would have to "interview" Tony Dungy first before either team can do that. Once both teams are done "interviewing" Dungy then Philly could hire Jeff Fisher (or someone like that) and San Diego can trade for Andy Reid.

No NFL team can hire a head coach they want to (Cowher, Fisher, Gruden) unless they "interview" Dungy. That's what Denver probably did last year and Washington probably did the same before they hired Shanahan.

Eh, his biggest problem is still what's between his ears as that lobbed pick last week could attest (as well as several other dumb plays).

His arm, to me, isn't the issue and never has been. Sure, it's serviceable at best and would keep him out of being a top 5 QB even if he strung the rest of his game together. But his head's still his biggest issue.

Watch Houston not make the playoffs and Gary Kubiak still keeps his job.

Well they figured he was good at accosting women, maybe he should fill in in the secondary.

That being said, I think that the Jets will win out and I could see Cinci losing to Houston with a third string QB. I could see the Jets going 11-5 and the Bengals going 10-6.
Bear in mind that if you see the Bengals losing to the Steelers, Ravens, and Texans, their final record would be 9-7, not 10-6.
