Yeah. He's so pathetic... he suits this awful Jaguars franchise. I hope they move to LA. I have to say that, in a way, I hate the Jags even more than I hate the Ravens. Because while the Ravens disgust me like no other team can, I at least have a begrudging respect for them. But whenever I turn on the TV (especially in primetime) and I see that Jax is playing, I'm like, "Goddamnit, would they just give up on this sh**ty team already?! Their own fans don't even give a crap about them!"

Anyway, I'm glad Rivers finally had a monster game. Thanks to him, I'm in the playoffs for my fantasy league. Of course, had he played like this earlier in the season, I would have cinched a berth weeks ago!

In other news not specific to football but still relevant...

ESPN has stepped up their game and hired some hotness. Bloomberg Babe Michele Steele signed with the worldwide leader in sports this week, giving me a reason to tune in on days other than Monday night.

Best pics I could find... hopefully making the jump to ESPN will get her some more attention and she'll do a Maxim shoot one of these days.

Yeah, I don't know what the dude was doing there. He was running just drops the ball..could have just let it roll out of bounds but he smacks it out, haha.

There were like 3 Chargers players coming at him and there's no way to know if that ball bounces back into play. Knocking it out of bounds was the smartest thing he did on that play. He needs to learn how to carry the ball if he's gonna run.

I honestly think Gabbert would be a lot better if not on a ****** team like the Jags. He doesn't turn over the ball much but with some better weapons and a team that gave a **** I could see him being a decent QB.

It's December, you should start him next week too. :woot:

Philip Rivers is almost unstoppable in the month of December. His record is 23-2 and his QBR is around 112.5, I think.

And if you thought no MNF game could suck as much as Chargers/Jags, next week we get Seahawks/Rams!!!

Too bad, it's too little too late.

I can't hold it against them. When the schedule was determined, most probably assumed that the Rams/Seahawks game would decide which team went 8-8 and which team went 7-9, thus it would determine who would win the division and make playoffs.

I don't think winning over a hapless Jags team makes Chargers a significantly different team than the one that had the 7-game slide, but I doubt Norv Turner would be fired no matter what, because in just about any other teams he'd be gone already. But not under AJ Smith's management, apparently.

Not to go off on a tangent but this shows how ridiculous the NFL's suspension policy is. Suh tries to injure another player by slamming his head into the ground and stomping on him. He gets two games. Davis and Williams smoke some weed during the lockout and they get four games.

Yeah, I agree with you there completely. But the NFL's suspension polices never really make any sense.

On the bright side (depending on how you feel about Suh) he might get a little more time off if it's proven that he was lying about the details of his moronic car accident.

The NFL discriminates on pot heads! :cmad:

Seahawks/Rams:

Jon Gruden will praise future CFL QB Tarvaris Jackson

Yep, spot on. We'll hear all about how Tavaris got off to a rough start but how he's found his groove, etc.

And of course, Marshawn Lynch will be talked up like he's the lovechild of Jim Brown and Walter Peyton.

We'll definitely need a THIS GUY speech on Jackson :hehe:

Damn, I didn't even notice Ryan Mathews' numbers last night.

13 rushes for 112 yards (8.6 AVG)

I love me some Tolbert too, but they need to give this kid at least 20 carries a game. He's in his second year after all.

I don't know. Regardless of what someone's opinion on it is, smoking weed is illegal. Getting into a fight isn't. I don't think the suspension policy for those two scenerios are too bad.

Haha, I'll work on it. I might have to wing it this time though because there is no way in HELL I'm going to sit through that game.

Maybe not on the football field but it is everywhere else.

Regardless, contracts weren't in effect.

If it's illegal then that was a matter for the law and I don't see how it's fair to allow an in-house punishment for something that took place PRIOR to their time of employment.

Incidentally, "Fighting in public place" is illegal. Down here it's under "Fighting in public place or police station" I believe, but in most US states "Fighting in public" would come under the penal code in one way or another, I would have thought.

Goodell has no authority to suspend a player for a traffic violation. Mort confirmed as much this morning. Some of you act like Goodell is Judge Dredd for cripe's sake.

Goodell can suspend a player for being being accused (not charged) of a crime though. And I believe Suh could be brought up on charges if it is found that he did attempt to conceal bodily injuries to his passengers when he called the police.

EDIT: Okay, just doublechecked... looks like the police said they won't investigate, despite the accusations. So yeah, looks like Suh doesn't have anything to worry about.
