The man who loves holding out for more money DeSean Jackson was released by the Eagles
 
Sounds like they think he will be Aaron Hernandez 2.0 or something.
 
I have mixed emotions about the release of DeSean Jackson. While I don't agree with releasing such a huge weapon, I understand their reasoning behind it.

DeSean Jackson off the field negates his worth on the field. By a large margin.

So, overall, I feel it was a good decision, but I hope that they can find someone (maybe even Maclin or Cooper) who can match or even surpass his play in that #1 reciever position.

Also, I have to believe that the signing of Darren Sproles was a part of their plan for making up for the potential loss of production of the passing side of the offense.

The Eagles will probably draft a WR in this year's draft.
 
Teams said to be interested in Desean Jackson are the Kitty-Cats, Cessna, Raiders, Sea-Chickens, and the 29ers....and MJD sign a 3yr deal with the Raiders. Now if they can just get rid of Mcfadden.

Most likely.

There's alot of good WRs in the draft this year, and one thinks that is another reason the Eagles decided this might be (and was) the time to let him go.

They definitely have the opportunity to find a solid replacement in the draft. And, there's also still some reasonable talent in free agency to pad out the recieving core with.

Agreed although I do hope McFadden can do something for us this year.

He'll make a major impact in the first three games before he gets his annual season-ending injury.

Just because I'm a morbid bastard, I wish some crazy GM would try to put together a team of players so injury-prone that the entire roster would consist of backups by the time we get to week 8. Some ideas:

QB: Michael Vick
RB: Darren McFadden
RB: Jonathan Stewart
WR: Danny Amendola
TE: Rob Gronkowski
C: Eric Wood
SS: Troy Polamalu

Yes! The Steelers signed LaGarrette Blount to a two year deal!
 
What are the raiders doing? 3 years for mjd? They are building the 2010 all madden team. ....

Steelers agreed to terms with RB LeGarrette Blount on a two-year, $3.85 million contract, including a $950,000 signing bonus.


Love this signing...Bell, Blount, and ????(stay tuned for more)
 
would love to have Jackson play for the Chargers. but they can't afford him. in fact, they can't afford anyone which is why they've done so little this off-season. damn you AJ Smith. and there's the whole gang thing. he would be way too close to that if he came to play for San Diego.

And yet there's no room in Madden 25 to sign all of them because they are like $2 million under the cap.

I download a roster from a user as my Madden 25 roster update. So in the case of Raiders and Pats rosters in the games, the user gives all of the free agent signings on both teams to a 1 year contract with $760,000.
 
Shouldn't you wait to see when Manziel is taken before doing a victory lap? And even then, he could be drafted by a team with a subpar offensive line and get injured before season's end? :huh:
