Flowers is a pretty small CB, at only 5'9". Not exactly ideal to lineup against DeMaryius Thomas, Dwayne Bowe, etc. types in your division. Chiefs got rid of him for a reason, and it wasn't a salary cap thing.

They funny thing is that Jason Verrett (our first round draft pick) and Steve Williams (red shirt rookie from last year who has been doing well) are both 5'9" as well. Our two starting corners last year are 5'10", I believe. So all of our corners are pretty short and our safeties are all below 6' as well.

But all of our corners now specialize in off man coverage which is what we run, so I'm hoping that, as a unit, we work extremely well.

The Chiefs switched their defense last year when they switched DCs. They ran a more press heavy coverage defense last year which Flowers is obviously not built for. So, I'm hoping it is more of a system thing why he struggled last year. Before last year, he was a top 10 corner for 4 years straight according to PFF.

I'd really love if the NFL would get to the Josh Gordon verdict already. I assume it could happen anyday now. Hoping it won't be the full season but rather like 6 or 8.

I'm really interested to see how the Niners D is going to pan out. (Get it? Pan out...nyuk nuk) D-line is in flux, Bowman won't be ready until mid-season, and the secondary will be revamped. The 49ers might have to win a few shootouts early on in the year.

Am I the only one who doesnt like watching the NFL network now? My reasoning is because they have alot of people on there now that I dont really care about like the new guy who runs total access, shameshack, the guy who has the deep voice and constantly moving his head on top players reaction, warren sapp, woodson. I loved watching it when you had Esien, mooch, warner and faulk on but they only come on when its gameday, thursday night football or big days in the league. Just seems like the network has gone down in quality the past couple years and has dull inexperienced host.

I really hope Josh, and the Browns organization, can find him the help he needs. It's really past any point of just being young and dumb now. The worst thing that could happen would be just kicking him to the curb, he needs to find help and the right people around him and he needs it now. The fact that its a player I root for that is doing this is bad enough, but I hate seeing this type of stuff anywhere. I'd hate to see him wasting his life and career away.

Not so fast, Gordon might have competition on his own team. Over the weekend, Johnny Manziel posted an Instagram or Twitter (or whatever kids use nowadays) of himself, in a Vegas nightclub bathroom, with a rolled up $100 bill, implying that he was snorting cocaine.

Obviously, he is trolling, but never-the-less. He does this the weekend that news breaks of his teammate being suspended for a year for substance abuse problems. He does this after the team owner has told him to knock off his attention ****ing nonsense. He does it after his teammates tell him to knock off the nonsense.

This kid just continues to prove everything that everyone thinks about him. He is an attention hungry, pampered brat who has never been told no. It is only a matter of time before he does something really stupid and winds up with a suspension of his own. Drafting him is about to blow up in Cleveland's face in a big way.

Im not surprised by this. Josh Gordon was a knucklehead coming out and just continues to prove why no teams wanted him or wanted to trade for him last season. Manziel loves the attention and cant stay out of the clubs but then again hes young and has good looks and cash in his pocket with young honeys all over him so I cant say I wouldnt be doing the same thing if I was drafted by the browns. As a Ravens fan speaking the browns could draft Johnny Unitas reincarnated and we still wouldnt be threatened by them.

Maziel so far is not driving around drunk and doing drugs (atleast not that we know). He's going around parties and having a good time and probably getting a taxi or has a driver. Gordon is in the same boat as justin blackmon for being plain stupid. there is no comparison as of this moment.
