Panthers are playing on Thanksgiving day for the first time ever!!!! :cool:

I just have to laugh at how the NFL now is trying to make it a big tv event for schedule releases of games. The teams playing now will be totally different come september.

The Bengals gave Marvin Lewis a one-year extension :dry:.

I doubt the 10 game suspension hold up.

Thinking that they expect it not to hold up and set it deliberately high to arbitrate it/ appeal it down to half that

@Rand_Getlin
WR Greg Jennings will sign with the #Dolphins, a source said. Great fit. They needed a veteran receiver.

About time we addressed that.

Cowboys Honored For Helping Reintegrate Criminals Back Into NFL

DALLAS—Praising the organization for their refusal to turn their backs on those with a troubled past, the ACLU honored the Dallas Cowboys Wednesday for their ongoing efforts to reintegrate criminals back into the NFL.

“We would like to recognize the Dallas Cowboys for their long history of providing an avenue to ex-convicts who are simply seeking a second chance at life as a professional football player,” said ACLU spokesman Carl Holmes, adding that, for over three decades, the team has helped those facing the stigma and legal constraints of a recent felony conviction find paying work as linebackers, offensive linemen, and wide receivers.

“Too often, these men have been abandoned by society and left with nowhere to turn, but Jerry Jones and his organization have shown they are willing to take the lead and be that beacon of hope for them. The Cowboys have never been afraid to help those with a criminal history move on from their past mistakes and get back onto the field, and that is truly something special.” Holmes added that, without a group like the Cowboys, it is likely that many of the convicted felons would tragically end up either back in prison, dead, or on the Oakland Raiders.

So the Rams get the AFC North this season, might go see them kick some Steeler ass this year. We don't have any Steeler fans in here do we? ;)

I just want to say, I'm of the impression, that when all said & done, only one team will actually move to LA. The other supposedly "two contenders" will get stadiums, and remain in their respective cities. It's all a ploy to get deals done, for city/county/state funding...imho.

I am also under the impression, that the "League" really only want one team in the LA basin. There is a history, for those that lived in that area for a number of years, in the past, that LA has never, and will never, support two teams(LoL, yet alone 3)...given the Chargers/Rams of the 60's & the Rams/Raiders of the late 80's early 90's. Now these very teams supposedly looking to return. There is a reason, it didn't work then, when the economic viability, infrastructure, and market was better. The only success being, when the Rams was the sole proprietor.

Only one team will make the leap, imo...as it should be.
