2015 was going to be one crowded year

I think Warcraft could open in August..but August is such a weird, wildcard of a month for movies. But it's so open right now so why not?

What are your guys' prediction for the top 5 hits?

In no particular order it will probably be Avengers: Age of Ultron, Batman vs Superman, Bond 24, Hunger Games, and Star Wars

Inferno could be pushed back 2 weeks or it could plant a flag for October as it will do well overseas. The next 6 months should shore up most of 2015's releases.

Universal should claim Memorial Day Weekend 2016 with Warcraft.

Fantastic Four has moved down to June 19, 2015.

Assassin's Creed is now August 17 and The Secret Service is now March 6.

June is crowded as f**k! So, F4 is going up against Jurassic World? Nice move to position Assasin's Creed in August.

Anyways, Susan Cooper, a Jason Statham and Melissa McCarthy spy movie is going up against Tomorrowland.

Yeah, it'll be Jurassic World's second week. I'm wondering how Fantastic Four will do against Inside Out, though.

That spy movie doesn't sound too interesting to me. I know which movie I'll be seeing that weekend.

Excluding Pixar, it doesn't have any super serious competition. I think it's fine on that date.

I'd still prefer it to move to '16. Summer is so freaking packed, and I have a feeling that people would rather go see Jurassic World than Fantastic Four, unless it looks *amazing*

I'm betting Star Wars will be pushed back to summer 2016. They haven't even finished the script or the casting yet and the filming's already been pushed back to spring 2014. They were supposed to start in January.

Fantastic Four doesn't have a chance against Jurassic World, even if that is also an old franchise with a disappearing flame.

I knew some of these studios would balk with the release dates. Avengers 2, Batman/Superman and Star Wars are going to decimate the box office.

I don't think Jurassic World is going to do as good in the states as some seem to unless it's actually special.

What are you talking about? Scripts are usually written up until filming begins. The Avengers 2 does not start filming until March as well...and it's coming out 7 months earlier. No SW is locked in date. They waited this long to see what they needed. ....pushing back filming 3 months lol and delaying the film 7 months gives them all the time they need.

studios are too afraid to divert from prime movie seasons.
FF didn't have to be pushed into another summer. Heck even november would have been fine.

The FF reboot seemed like it had a better chance to succeed with its March date. But now its releasing along with an animated movie and sandwiched between JP4 and Ted 2. Its going to need some good marketing.

JW would beat F4 though.

Not so sure about that. I think this is a case when the movie with best reviews will be the winner, although I suppose there's a risk FF will be a victim to superhero-saturation no matter what. Still, previous FF-movies and the Jurassic Park-sequels have been both kind of "meh" in terms of box office and critical response. So I think both franchises need a a quality boost if they want to thrive in this insanely crowded summer

June is crowded as f**k!

December is even more crowded. Warcraft, Inferno, and Kung Fun Panda 2 will probably get moved to 2016.

F4 should just move to 2016

Or August.

I'm betting Star Wars will be pushed back to summer 2016.

It happened with Star Trek. It was originally supposed to be released in December 2008 but was moved to May 2009 after the writer's strike. So it's possible for history to repeat twice with J.J. Abrams.

ID4 2 has been moved to July 1, 2016.

Good. Now the Terminator has 4th of July all to itself.
