I laughed my butt off when I heard that Kurt Warner got into the Hall. The HOF is supposed to honor the best of the best. That means a player should be one of the best in the league at his position for the majority of his career. Warner was brilliant for his first 3 years in St. Louis and resurrected his career in similar fashion in his last 3 years in Arizona. Between those brief periods of greatness were 5 years where he couldn't stay on the field, and was often awful when he did play. It's ridiculous to call him one of the best players to ever play.
The HOF voters are a joke.
I prolly wouldn't have voted him in either, but consider him a borderline candidate. To me, it comes down to him being on some pretty good and pretty bad offensive teams. When he was on good ones, he was a hell of a quarterback. When injured or on some not so good teams, he wasn't. Sounds like a lot of QBs out there who might be considered for the hall. I think he benefited from his squeaky clean image; just as some others (Can you spell TO?
