Took a 4-12 team to 11-5 in his first year with a rookie QB. Went to the playoffs 4 times in his first 5 years. The 2013 season they were riddled with injuries and in 2014 they were FAR better than the Panthers, even though their records didn't show it.

Mike Smith was a damn good coach who got fired because a few fluke years. What ever team gets this guy is going to get a fine coach for years to come. This of course he gets a head coaching position.

I am mixed on Mike Smith. He's not a bad coach. But a lot of Atlanta's wounds during his tenure were self-inflicted. It makes me wonder, is he simply one of those guys better suited for coordinator than HC?

That said, I think he deserves a second chance and I would take Smith over Kyle Shanahan.

Mike smith couldn't utilize the playmakers he had on offense and for a defensive minded coach he got railroaded in mostly all the big games he played in. I'm not a fan of smith at all.

If Beckham jr balls out and the giants run the ball I don't think they have a problem. I'm not sold on Green Bay no matter how many games they won.
