Matt, it could always be worse. You could have Marvin Lewis.

Tomlin usually has this team in the post-season, and has yet to post a losing record with the team. Count yourself lucky.

But let's put in context. I am no Lewis defender, but he hasn't had the best team at his disposal. Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton aren't exactly elite. Mike Brown's penny pinching has really hurt Lewis. He isn't free of blame...but if he had the talent that Mike Tomlin has had, would he have won more than six playoff games? I think so. My point is, if you look at a bad team, there are usually many factors. Meddlesome or cheap ownership, a bad GM not building a competitive roster, off field melt downs, etc. These are things beyond the HCs control. Mike Tomlin has none of those excuses. He has been handed a Super Bowl caliber team every year of his career. Yet he has won six play off games and advanced in the playoffs in only three seasons. Mike Tomlin has under performed with what he has had.

Only Matt could post an entire novel on why he hates his team's coach while they are currently dominating their playoff game.

:o

I'm sure I'll be laughed out of the thread for saying this, but I think Andy Dalton is perfectly capable of winning a Super Bowl. He's not elite, and probably never will be, but last year showed me he could get the job done. He was playing like a top 5 QB before his injury.

Marvin Lewis has essentially gone on the record of saying that in-game adjustments are nothing more than "journalist jargon." I think that speaks for itself. The Bengals have had a few talented rosters over the last 14 years. Pity Marvin Lewis had no ****ing clue what to do with them.

Why is Ben still playing.

ugh the Fox pregame idiots can shut the entire hell up

teams take days off, god forbid people have fun

Does this all stem from the Romo thing in 2008? He went to Mexico or something?

Going to console myself with internal commentary that this season was a step forward... and that the back 7 can't possibly be worse next year.

Externally, I'm going to drink.

I'm sure the Giants wr's wouldn't have a problem catching bottles of chardonnay

Rodgers needs to drop his "unsackable is my super power" attitude. Those big loss sacks are killing them.

Oh boy Jordy out.

Green Bay Packers @packers
WR Jordy Nelson (rib) is questionable to return #NYGvsGB

The defense is playing great, but the offense can't keep putting up FG's. Packers are still a TD away from leading the game.

Absolutely right. This team needs TD's, we can't keep settling for FG's.

They are passing great, except when it's time to put the ball in the end zone, then they can't get the play together

I wonder why guys like McDaniel's are getting 2nd chances at HC, and others like Steve Spagnuolo have not.

Again, GB taking forever to pass, Rodgers runs to no gain in one play, pass to nowhere and gets a penalty in the next :cmad:

Well, what that crap ass start didn't finish, the (now) three turnovers are looking to do.

:sbr:

Moore had no run game and started fumbling like it was 2011.

FYI, he had I think 9 fumbles in 13 games that year.
