The Raiders going east makes more sense on the whole, though. When the Chargers or Rams complain about their stadiums, it can come off as whining; asking for all new digs from taxpayers when a refurbishment would probably do (like what we had in Kansas City) seems like a spoiled child, to an extent.
But Oakland's stadium really is bad. It's in the kind of shape where the organization arguing for a new one makes complete sense. And they're still sharing it with a baseball team. When they complain about the problems, it actually makes sense. Plus, their is something more intriguing about them moving to LV. Unlike LA, which has the population for NFL games but seems to lack the hunger for it, LV is a town that's almost surprising when you realize it doesn't have a team already. And it's not like the Raiders wouldn't fit in...
Biggest problem is getting enough people to come in on a consistent, week-to-week basis.
