This is the award that hurts, a friend(s) is/are gone from these boards due some decisions he/she/they made, and said choices led to the unpleasant consequence.

For this one I think it will be better to stick with members who were banned within the confines of the year, so if you consider nominating KRYPTON INC. who got banned in February 2022, he's best saved for next years nominations.

Not even close. Krypton in a walk.

Why did he get banned?
Flash525 was temporarily banned for a month late last year after comparing gay people to pedophiles. Upon returning from the ban, he was misgendering a non-binary character. It was politely pointed out to him that he had done so, but he chose to stomp his feet and declare he would never use the correct pronouns for people and so everyone should just stop asking him to. He was then banned.

Allegedly, he got banned because he was making homophobic comments. Which was very unlikely of him.
What? The dude was overt in his homophobe and transphobe. He wrote this:

I don't personally recognise the they/them label.

That's not disrespect, it's simply a lack of knowledge on the subject matter. No amount of education is going to better highlight that to me either, so I would encourage the patronising attitude to close.

And that was far from the first time. He was a bigot, who tried to wave it away by saying he wasn't being bigoted. But it didn't change what he said.

In this case, in this example, you are correct. But the guy was referring to a fictional character - and since I have no idea how the rest of the convo went or even started, there's no much that I can say about it.

I'll admit that that comment was unfortunate.

While you can't see a lot of the original posts because they were deleted, you can see the replies that quoted them, with the quotes. It wasn't ambiguous, and it wasn't "unfortunate". It was just bigotry.
