I would still love to see the 3rd movie called "Fantastic 4: Doomsday."

It's a good bet that Doom will continue to figure prominently in future FF films.
I can't imagine them not using "Doomsday."

Exactly Malus, besides being the name for Doom and referring to him having his day in the sun so to speak, its also the name for when Galactus arrived....

Another FABULOUS thread LS! I agree with all of your points and I enjoyed the presentation the list was presented in. June 15th cannot get here fast enough. I like the epic, more serious tone the trailers have given as of late. I hope it is done justice in the complete final product, and as of now I have faith in that. Promotion has been 100 times better this go around too.

...about the flick...i can't say I've seen Reed using his powers in the previews...I'd like to see a good RR action sequence.

That was good, you should be a film journalist.
The biggest thing going right for FF right now is silver Surfer, so many people want to see it because of him and I think the charecter might make it to A-list comic book status if hes really cool in this movie, who ever included him in this sequel was really smart

Great work Cal,i think the production values on the entire movie have really risen and it has shown in the look of the action,the scale of the story,the design of the Fantasticar and Baxter building plus use of WETA on the SFX.

Whooh! Don't think I'd seen the Castle Doom pictures before, though the novel didn't leave me feeling that happy with that aspect of it.

Well, I've not read the novel yet--although I came *this close* to buying it today. Then I thought of my pledge to Matt (from F4 movies) and resisted the urge. I'm so proud of myself.

And I'm glad all of you are enjoying the list. Let's keep adding to it.

great list Light Man, you've pointed out all of the reasons I'm hyped for this movie. The more I see the more I like. You haven't read the novel! lol well I have! and thats what got me thinking this could be cool. And well some things in it could have been done better or seemed to have been used in other superheroe flixs (like dooms fate) I have to give Tim and the writers credit they have taken some of the best ideas, stories and characters the FF have to offer and cramed them into one movie, and after reading the novel it seems to work. I think tho the pics you say are the Baxter building might actualy be a military base but don't quote me on that ha ha. Again great job on the list you've raised the temp on this movie by about a 100*

lol I still haven't touched it, or even gone looking for it. Less than a month to go now, and pretty soon we won't have an urge to read it with all the footage that will be coming out.

This might fit in with your "Action" heading, but one thing I would add is that they will be fully powered.

No more fumbling around with their powers, they're now the FF that we know.

Good article. There's certainly a lot more positives than negatives to go around on this one.

Going against (at least as far as boxoffice returns go) I'd list:

1. Lowered expectations as a result of the first film.
2. Studio reputation for meddling unnecessarily
3. Competition from way too many genre films.

And Laurence Fishburne SHOULD HAVE been Galactus' voice instead, imo. His ominous voice would have been absolutely spot on for the character.

Perhaps. Only time will tell, but...yeah. I deliberately left the names of this film's editors off my list this year...Hoy & Co.'s editing choices left me looking stupid with the bullet on my 2004-2005 article...and I learned from that lesson.

So, I went to few movie sites to see if the runtime has been posted yet and look, I know its frickin' IMDB, but, who, why or what would make someone post this in the Trivia section for FF2?

A scene in which the Silver Surfer flies into a skyscraper was cut due to the similarities to the 9/11 events.

Has this been discussed anywhere? Is this even accurate?

5. Galctus the cloud: Who are we all kidding, their is no hope. Galactus has been raped

7. The board is now the source of Radd's power

8.Tim Story is directing again

9.The same creative team is on board

10.The screening in Seattle: again lets not kid each other. There was a screening and it was indeed negative as AICN reported. Don't care what lies Fox pr tried to spin.

Release Date: How is that a negative, probably the smartest thing they did?

Screening: No there wasn't.
