Only the vocal majority really really hate TASM2 I feel, on the forums I see people rate it around the 6-8 range usually, so that would indicate that overall, the felt more positive about it. Heck, 53% on rottentomatoes is still a majority, a small one but still.

I have a hard time when reading that Sony is flopping because of TASM when the franchise made 1.4 Billions so far.

That's both Cap movies and almost the first Thor.

Yeah, but they release a movie every year, 2 times a year. Sony is like... every 2 years.

I love the view that Sony are in debt but also cash grabbers whereas Marvel don't care about the money and make good films out of the goodness of their hearts.

I think there's a lot of bias against this franchise and now discussion on these boards has devolved into a big circle*** about how much someone can hate the franchise.

I like both TASMs... I give them a general 7.5 which, on a good day, means an 8 and 7 on a bad.

Marvel is worshipped because of Avengers.

The rest is alright save for TWD which wasn't that perfect like people make it to be.

Sony has been having a hard time for years now. The problem is that sm 1-3 made more then asm1-2 and that was with out 3d and with a smaller internation market and with lower ticket pricess. These movies should be easy billion dollar movies. Iron man 3 made 1.3 billion witch is around 540 million more then asm1 and iron man is way less popular of a charter then sm. At the same time cap 2 a movie with a 89 RT score only made like 5 million more ww then asm2 a movie with a 53 RT score just shows how popular spider man is. ASM2 a movie a lot of people hate still made almost has much has cap 2 a movie people loved. If you where to flip flop and cap 2 had a 53 RT score and asm2 had a 93 sm would make way way more then cap 2. You would probly have seen cap 2 make like 400 million and asm2 like 1.1 billion or something crazy like that.

I mean that people hate the franchise when it obviously isn't bad as they are saying, at least is what the polls are showing.

And most of the time they always bring Raimi so you can see where its coming from.

What people forget is that Raimi's series had the Superhero marketplace all to itself, the TASM series has had to fight to to toe with The Avengers, The Nolan Batman Series, a revamped X-Men Franchise, the MCU.

Anyone comparing the two has no idea how the landscape has changed, TASM made 750M against TDKR and Avengers, TASM2 made pretty much the same as all the other CBM's this year.

There's no crisis.

Everybody loves Spider-Man, everyone wants to see his movie,imagine the anxiously that would create,it would slow down the fatigue I think.

Yeah everbody loves spider man but after sm3 and asm1 and asm2 and if asm3 doesn't do that much better that would be 4 sm movies in a row not doing so while are people really going to trust they can make a good or even great spider man movie again after that? Wouldn't rebooting it make people mad again in less it was a soft reboot where the story continued or they rebooted it and went like 10 years with out a sm movie?

Also I saw the reasoning of TASM2 flopping because they were going for a fun, light-hearted tone, but TWS made serious the new cool thing for films. Well to whoever said something along the lines of that, explain Guardians of the Galaxy

TASM2 faced Cap2,Godzilla, Xmen.

Also,the domestically numbers are always falling since SM2 I think.

I really hate the "it's too soon for a reboot" argument. When BvS come out it will have been 4 years since TDKR and there will be a new Batman yet nobody is saying that about Batman.

Last time I checked the scores SM3 was at 53% and TASM 1&2 at 77% and 69% so they are enjoying it unlike with SM3.

Yeah the raimi's series did but the new ones in ticket sales are down by like 50% that is a lot do you really think that is just because they didn't have those other superhero's around them? The raimi's series still had harry potter and lord of the rings to very very popular franchise to go up agest. Spider man is way way more popular then any super hero other then batman so shouldn't it make more then the other CBM that came out this year? It didn't because people thought it sucked. If the movie was getting the same kind of reviews has the other ones they would have killed them all in box office this year. Pluse if you look at just USA then it looks worse.
