Yes, I can definatly agree that 12 Years a Slave deserved the best picture. But the preformances and cinamotagraphy in Mr. Banks, Walter Mitty, and 42 were nearly all overlooked. In my opinion, it was the worst year for the Oscars in recent memory. Hopefully this year will make up for it.I have no doubt about NPH. He's shown a lot of range in the last year or so.
I'm just really upset about Interstellar. I was so blown away by this film, and thought it's the best film of 2014 without a doubt. I was looking forward to the announcement of the nominations just for that movie.
While those snubs were a head scratcher, at least the "Best Picture" (12 Years A Slave) was still justified. The nominations in that category should be perfect.
