Unfortunately, as much as a tragedy as this is, it has to have a hint of sensationalism to make it to national news.

3 college kids getting shot in any city usually won't make it to national news, however that story of the family of the doctor in Connecticut getting killed is an example of national news.

If I just graduated high school, I might go back over there, but it was an ELEMENTARY school. You ever do that after graduating HS? Only people I know who would do that are the pedos or people up to something...

I went to school in Newark. My car stereo got stolen, and I remember passing a car on fire and with no sirens to be heard.

Lately, the gangs in Newark have gotten so out of hand. The mayor is even said to be targeted by the gangs.

Speaking of the mayor people are screaming for his resignation. Stuff like this makes me slightly happier I live in a small town instead of one of Jersey's cities.

Why does it HAVE to be national news? I don't care what color they are. In my opinion all murders should remain on the Local New Stations of the City/Sate in question. It's the state's/city's job to handle their own crimes not the nations, I don't think VT should have got the attention it did...
