I think they can fit it in, as long as they don't go into too much of Sandman then they r fine. Harry wont take long being a goblin. I believe most of the Q&A (Venom defeated at end by Harry and Spiderman, with Harry dying). It seems legit. The Gwen Stacy thing might slow things down though.

Who says 3 villians doesnt work? looks like someone needs to see Batman Begins over again....

They're not going to leave it with a cliffhanger ending. Spider-Man 4 will have a different cast and a different crew, so Spidey 4, 5, and 6 will be like a seperate trilogy of films. I think that 3 will be the ending chapter for this portion of Peter Parker's life, because that's would be the "safe" thing to do. If #4 turns out to be crap, we won't have to watch it just because they left #3 as a cliffhanger. The first three films should be a complete story arch, and the second three should be a different arch. With the X-Men trilogy they had a complete story arch, but they still left the door open for more movies in the future, and IMO they should do something similar with Spidey.

Venom ain't in it. Brock is. Please, shut up all of you.

Ya just cause brock's in, doesnt mean he will be venom in this episode. They nid to build his character first..

So if Venom isn't in it then how do you explain all the leaks? I doubt Raimi got everyone together and told them to say Venom is in the movie. If it was just Brock I don't think people would be saying Venom.

Whatever. A little digging produced the following:

Found this on one of the casting websites I browse.

"Genre: Action / Adventure / Fantasy / Sci-Fi / Thriller
Staring Tobey Macguire, Kristin DUnst, Thomas Hayden Church, James Franco, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard Theresa Russell, James Cromwell.

Third film in the highly successful "Spider-Man" series sees several new villains and a new woman enter Peter Parker's life. With his secret now revealed to both Mary Jane and Harry, Peter must face the consequences of his actions and his new life together with Mary Jane as they finally form a relationship. Yet their newfound open display of love has yielded some unfortunate results, not the least of which is Peter's upset boss determined to make his life hell for causing his son emotional distress. Not helping is a young investigative reporter named Eddie Brock who Jameson has hired to find out why Mary Jane dumped his son for Peter - what's Parker's secrets? At the same time an escaped prisoner hiding out on a remote beach is caught in a dreadful accident and finds himself turned into a shape-shifting sand creature. Peter's investigations into the past of this 'Sandman' brings him in contact with two very different things that will inevitably alter his life. The first a young woman named Gwen Stacy, daughter of the city's new police chief who is developing a soft spot for Peter. The other, a black substance from an accident scene which 'merges' with Peter's costume and gives him new found abilities. Things come to a head however when Harry Osborn, determined to take revenge against Peter for his father's death and now equipped with what he needs to pull it off, teams with The Sandman in a new variation of his father's Green Goblin guise and causes mayhem. In the ensuing chaos lives are lost, including people very close to Peter, whilst the black substance covering his suit separates from him and merges with a distraught Brock to form something else entirely - a creature unlike anything he's ever faced. A 'Venom' that he may not be able to stop.

Filming in Los Angeles & New York"

Explain that mister smarty pants

Explain what? The fact that that is the Dark Horizons plot summary that was put on the internet a few months ago that says Venom is in the movie or the fact that IMDB is the most unreliable source that as you have so kindly put in bold has Rosemary Harris as Carnage?

No. You obviously ignored the first tidbit from an independant source. Also, of course Harris won't PLAY Carnage . . . he'll be CGI (DUHH) . . . merely provide his VOICE.

The tidbit that says it was from a casting agency? That's fine but the description is still from the Dark Horizons summary and it still says Venom is in the movie.

Bet you a case of beer venom will appear . . .

And that's not too much for one movie? Hmm..... Maybe if it's 4 1/2 hours.

And you said ending the trilogy, but both Sony and Marvel had said there will be 6 movies in total.

I disagree, there was a lot more information in the first movie in a reasonable amount of time. I don't understand why everyone thinks that three villians means 8 years of footage, or battle royals, and such. The only character they need backstory for is Sandman. Brock will be developed as the movie goes on (hell, in the TAS the whole venom arc was 3 episodes, that's like 60 minutes of footage.) They could easily fit everything in a 2 - 2 1/2 hour movie.

BB had three villians and it worked. Plus i trust Raimi, I think he'll know how to handle three villians.

this is a good point. i thought bb was the best batman movie made out of alll of them. some of the villians in bb werent really made to be important villians in the movie so how would they do that in spidey 3. i think venom should be the main villian in another spidey movie. spidey 3 should play it safe and not stuff it with too many important characters. i do trust raimi's judgement though so i'm willing to see it one way or another. i love spidey 1 and 2. cant wait for spidey 3!! whoever's with me say I!

Ducard and Raz al are one and the same

the Raz who died was a decoy to hide the real Raz/Ducard

They fused two characters (brilliantly) but regardless; even if you do count them as 2 you still have the fact that Raz was a throw away character.

and yes batman Begins is a really good movie... but just because it worked once doesn't mean it will work again... We need more than one example or BB will become a crutch to make more crappy 3 villain movies... aka Batman & Robin.

I'll take that bet!
wait.. do you mean Venom as a villain.. or just appear in general.. cuz i think he MIGHT appear.. but only as a set up for 4.. not as a villain for 3

you from canada?

i definitely agree with you all the way!

THC did talk about Venom and said he was doing stuff...which could mean he will appear and fight.

i bet venoms in the end or last battle or w/e cuz i mean wats it gona be? symbiote gets off peter and goes for a stroll around new york until sm4 wen he latches onto brock? no i dont think so. i think there will be 3 villians and raimi will pull it off after all they don all need equal parts. batman begins had 3 sorta villians falcone, scarecrow, ras al ghul. i bet this will be a long movie tho proly like 2 and a half hours.

"I had so many questions I don't know why I asked him these when I look back on it. Probably because Venom means so much to me. I first asked... and pointed to the chairs. Will Venom have a black suit with a "WHITE" logo, unlike black suit Spidey and he said yes. I think I said THANK YOU! Then I asked if Topher would be in a suit or if Venom would be CGI, to which he said he will be in a suit, and obviously the actors can only do so much with the heroes and so Venom will obviously have to have some CG. Then I said and he will be in the movie for the last ten minutes right? Then he hesitated, like he wasn't sure what to tell me then finally said "that's correct." Those weren't his exact words. But pretty close, this is all from memory. Then I thanked him again and walked away."

So Venom is in the movie but for how long we still don't know. Raimi says yes to the last 10 min but that could be including the last 10 min or just the last 2.
