I've always loved the Kingpin stories but as much as I do, I'd rather have Tombstone show up in the TASM game as the crime boss.

Remember seeing this cover in my childhood in a book about MU, asked my father if this was the same guy who started drawing Spidey since he said Ditko's (didn't say his name) art -and didn't say on the Spidey suit only- improved in his run. Always loved it

One of my friends drew this in support of Back in Black

I like the title of the issue's story. Up until this point, Spidey never really defeated the Kingpin. After 7 issues featuring the Kingpin as the villain, he is finally defeated and arrested at the end of this story.

Speaking of the black suit, one of things I didn't like in the comics is that it hasn't offered Spidey any extra powers (apart from organic webbing) nor did it change his personality. It was cool and badass, lookwise, but that was it.

I love how this pose was adapted in two episodes of Spider-Friends cartoon:
Pawns of the Kingpin
Attack of the Arachnoid

Back in the 70s they released full colour collections of the Ditko comics in book sized form, i had the second volume, I'm talking when I was 3 or 4 yrs old I got it. I must've re-read that thing a thousand times, it went from the 2nd vulture appearance to the 1st Mysterio, anyway, the pose from the cover of that Romita issue was what they used for the cover.

Isn't that the pose used for the 50 years thing on the new ASM comics?

Romita's pose for the Human Torch on issue 77 of ASM was also used extensively as the image for the character. I had a bubble gum card with that image, and recall seeing it used in advertising for comics.

Fantastic Mysterio story
Great 50th anniversary logo

Mysterio is again one of my favorites and this story is great. I'd love to see him played in one of the upcoming films.
