This is Scorpion's second appearance if I'm not mistaken. It's funny because he's one of my favorite villains and I still haven't read many of the comics he's featured in.

Yup he is. Sony is overseeing and advising Beenox on what villains they can use so it won't conflict with future film villains.

Scorpion was also in the games for the Raimi Spider-man movies as well. And I think he'd be a nice choice as a villain for a sequel. But the one thing I would love to see is Venom done with some justice and respect.

Oh, I used to post in the Spidey forums a lot during the Raimi years. In fact Spider-man was one of the titles I loved reading back in the 80's and 90's.

The Green Goblin-Crime Master 2 part story is one of the finest tales by Lee/Ditko hands down. Those issues are so great, right behind "If This Be My Destiny" if you ask me. But the whole run is perfect so it says a lot saying those two stories are real standouts.
