I doubt it. They changed his X-ray vision so that he couldn't see-thru objects, but rather more like actual x-rays. But then later in Season 2 when Clark was first on Red K he tells Pete that Chloe has a tatoo on her cheek(butt), as to suggest that he did have "see-thru vision".

Clark could always see through things. In the episode where he got X-Ray vision he saw through the gymn wall into the girls lockerroom. He can apparently x-ray through any level of obstruction he wants to

Yeah but after that episode they never showed him seeing through things again. The producers said that they never liked that ability. They wanted strictly X-ray vision.

I'm purely looking at is from a Clark POV, insofar as I dont want to see him constantly put in a position where he has to lie to Lana.

She knows he has a secret, she knows he wont tell, let them move on.

It does make sense. But I think she is trying to move on. It makes it hard when your boyfriend gets kidnapped and you have to go to your ex to get help though. LOL.. But when he's the only superhero in town, whatcha gonna do?

Obviously they set up the situation where he is again holding out information from her that she needs to try and help Lex. I agree with you that they need to stop creating those situations. It's like a bad habit they can't get away from.
