*spoilers* And it does show him using the new ability. :)

Annoyingly, it takes SuperChloe to show him how. :whatever:

A bit of Ollie on the tape too.

Yea, Good Ol Chloe, LOL. That was awesome Serene. Cool find.

Oh c'mon. She didn't show him, she just suggested he try a different approach. It made for a funny scene through dialog. I don't think it would have been the same with Martha or Lionel.

And you wouldn't be complaining if Lana showed him something. :p

A bit of Ollie on the tape too.
Hmm. Yeah. Um... I hope his acting comes off better in the final cut. What was in that clip was... kind of... lacking. :(

Depends on what she showed him. ;)

Sorry, but I stand by my annoyance. I'd rather he figured that stuff out on his own.

The disco suit is a bit jarring.. but funny. Oh well.. at least he's cute.

That was cool Serene. Thanks. :yay:

I'm staying out of the Lana/Chloe debate.:cwink:

I didn't like the effect I wish it looked more like ice

Ok first off The effects for Super-breath are awesome in the preview [however I dislike the fact that Chloe has to show him now how to control this new super power {I would've prefer either Martha helped him or Clark himself learning to control his super-breath on his own.}

As for Justin as Oliver Queen well I'm not 100% sold on his preformance yet [he doesn't seem like his comic book counterpart, he's acting more like Bruce Wayne when he's got a very secretive hidden agenda ]

I'm not sure what the problem is with Chloe giving Clark a hint on the way he could use his enormous lung capacity...

I mean, with all his other abilities he's had help of some kind from other people... Pat made a good point, it doesn't really make sense that Martha would be there to help him. Who else would be able to?

Lana? Lex?

Chloe is really the only other person that he can trust to help him with things.

I do think that it's a big deal... she only gave him a hint on what to try... he's sick, he was clearly sweating...

Maybe his muscles aren't the only things that aren't fully functional?

*shrug*

Oliver Queen seemed different. I love how they are playing up the mystery of this character. Is he a good guy? Is he a bad guy?- in terms of where he stands in the series- for those who don't know information from the spoilers. Seriously reminded me of Lex in that scene.

The problem is he's shouldn't have to depend on Chloe to always be their to help him [or anyone else for that matter.] He's 19 going on 20, he should be able to be smart enough to realize on his own that When he sneezed and blew the farm door 7 miles if he could do that then he could blow too .

Clark needs to become more Independent in order to walk down the ultimate path he was Destined to follow from since his arrival on earth from Krypton by his loving & caring parents Jor-EL & Lara .

Kal-El 8 he's sick, what fun would it be seeing Clark all alone at Luthorcorp trying to figure it out all by himself?

Billionaires act all the same.. Mr.Queen. :p

he was acting a little too much like Bruce Wayne [When he's in those secretive, mysterious, Hidden Agenda moods.]

I don't like that sv is making him a little to much like BATMAN/Bruce Wayne character .

I don't know. I'm at the point that I wish it was anyone but Chloe. I'd feel better if Lionel, says "well son, go ahead and see if blowing on the door works":whatever:

Well Green Arrow is more or less Batman with a bow to boot anyways.

I understand that.

but this season Theme for clark "The Path Of a Lonely Hero/Is it worth Being a Hero"

My point is clark's a man now. He should be able to not only notice on his own he has a new and improved super power, but that he should realize how to both use it and control it .

I'm getting a little tired of Chloe being Clark's side kick.

No, Oliver is nothing like Bruce [sure they have some simiularity, but in no way are they the same.]

Bruce is alot smarter than Oliver [also Bruce always looks at the bigger picture, Oliver doesn't.]

Bruce is alot more of a badass than oliver. etc ...

i would take Chloe over Lana any day of the week
i would take Chloe and FLESH-EATING GERBILS over Lana any day of the week

and this isn't necessarily in reference to finding new powers..

The thing is how would you dramatize that?

Inner turmoil doesn't play as well on TV as it does on Film... (Well, it doesn't always play well on film, unless you're in an arthouse flick anyway) but his struggles to control his abilities have to externalized in some way.

Having someone else there to "help" him is someone else there for him to play off of so we can better see how the problem was solved... And a scene with him working with someone else is far more dynamic than him struggling to do something on his own.

Am I making sense?

I think you see the thought processes of him working it out a lot better when he's in conflict with someone else during a scene than if he were just in conflict with himself. They can talk about it while he works it out.

Would you rather him have him talking to himself as he worked the problem out?

Okay, I don't know about you but that sounds WAY boring.

In comics that might work okay because you can have his thoughts in little balloons in the panel... How would that work on TV? Talking to himself sounds like deadly dull TV to me.

And it's not really the way Clark works anyway... he rarely talks to himself to work through problems. He's more of a brute force kinda guy.

Blowing the door down is not a solution he might have thought up on his own otherwise, it's a more subtle solution than just tearing a hole in the wall, so I think Chloe helping him is well motivated and makes sense within the context of how differently their minds work.

Also it's just a much more dynamic scene the way they did it...

Anyway, it doesn't bother me at all...
