I loved this episode

The Good

1. Lois Lane is finally involed in journalism, and she an actual Reporter [Chloe acts like she an official reporter @ The Daily Planet, but she not. the last time I checked she still at the bottom in the Planet basement writing obituaries and articles about lost pets. ] Lois went after a story and made it into some worth while . And Unlike Chloe who presented editor-in-chief, Pauline Kahn with kryptonite-strain of rabies that turned a sorority of Metropolis University students into parasitic "vampires." [Which didn't even make front page of The Daily Planet.] Lois got not only a Byline, but also Front page. Congrats Miss Lane [You have no idea what greatness lies ahead in your future as a reporter.]

2. Clark Kent : Two episodes featuring a mature happy Clark Kent . [I hope Smallville keep this up, I like this version of Clark.]

3. Super Breath : Ok the effects were cool, and I'm glad this power was finally introduced, However I wished Clark was able to use The Freezing part of Super Breath. anyways I can't wait to see more Super-breath, this season .

4. Chloe : I enjoyed seeing her as Clark kents friend, not lover.

5. Oliver Queen : Congrats to JH, your now Bruce Wayne .

6. Lionel Luthor : Looks like The MB is back . DAMNIT

7. Lex Luthor

The Bad

Lana

I think we'll get freeze breath in the near future. Right now it's just strong windy type of power, but I think that will evolve into the icy type. Remember that Clark's powers are continuing to evolved and he's getting stronger as he gets older. His heat vision right now is more intense than when he first discovered it (it's more becoming more lazerlike - more red).

Smallville's answer to not being able to bring in Bruce Wayne. Either way, I'm intrigued.

if they could put bruce wayne on the show I could imagine a batarang or just a ninja star doing something similar like Olivers Arrow

Aight... I'll be the first to say it...

Hartley's a horrible actor.

not that I hate Routh or anything but I think Hartley sounded like him lol

I have to say Justin impressed me with his preformance tonight. However What I saw tonight was a combanation of Bruce Wayne [The Secret side of Bruce when he has a Hidden Agenda] and Adult Lex Luthor [The manipulative bastard] .

I didn't really see Green Arrow or Oliver Queen in his character tonight . I hope to see than during his the 6 episode left he will guest star in .

as usually the episode go down a little after the great seasoning opening but still a great episode...I know nothing about oliver Queen but his introduction to the series looks great..I didn't know they were gonna introduce him this early before his episode the Hi-tech Bow looked awesome...the preview for next episode looks really great and the green arrow custom looks really 21 century.....the green hooder was a great look

Alrigth he got his heat vision, super hearing, speed, strength, and now got his wind breath now....but he didn't get his freeze breath and I wonder when is he gonna learn to fly on his own
Lana-Wow she clearly doesn't trust clark anymore and is a totally different person....more character Dynamics

Next episode is a New character episode...so far we had Aquaman,Cyborg and Flash( which is one of my favorite episode of smallville; flash going Speed force on clark at the end was brilliant)
-But this Green Arrow guy sure seems to look much better than the Flash Episode..

That episode left me.....uninterested in next week. Just a let down in many aspects....Except the jogging at the beginning by Lois.

I quite liked this one. They're really playing up the Lois and Clark relationship and showing the disconnect with Lana.

I thought Hartley did ok for what they gave him. Loved the last scene.

Missed the epi (school)...real quick before I backtrack to the other pages...scale of 1 to 10?

It's funny you mentioned Routh because I also thought of Routh with Hartley's performance. lol

Agreed, i'm not so convinced about Hartley yet. He always has this serious look on his face, he's almost trying to imitate Rosenbaum's Luthor, a little too much alike.

Loved all the Clark+Chloe moments, and Lionel of course, they saved this episode.

Does anyone know the quote that Batman said about Clark being a God? This scene reminds me of it. It went something like this.

It's hard not to look at Clark like a God. Good thing for all of us he doesn't see himself that way.

Gold Samurai and Mig-El, yup! I thought the same thing but didn't want to say it.

Weird, huh?

It's all about the acting and nothing to do with his appearance. Oh well. I hope he improves.

I thought hartley did well in his scene with Lionel, but something was seriously lacking in the later scene with his minion...

Agreed. I have to watch Sneeze again, but my first impression of his performance is that it was poor. (I never downloaded the Aquaman pilot, so this is the first time I really got to see him act. Trailers don't count.)

I'll give him this much though, he's a nice looking man and he's got a smokin' bod. I won't mind watching him, provided he doesn't talk much (LOL), which is something I can't even say about... Oh, n'mind. :p

I really liked this ep. Though I'll agree Hartley needs to improve some of his delivery. He seems at times to serious for GA.

I especially liked how they tightened some things up. Lana's direct questions to Clark about how he knew Lex would turn into Zod. The fact that They didnt just drop the Black Thursday incident. I really liked the ending Arrow Shot, Lois sort of has a direction, even if it's a little early for her to have a front page by line.

My impressions? I dug the episode. Loved the humor (esp. b/w Clark/Chloe/Lois.
I have to kinda agree w/ the sentiments about Lois' sudden embrace of journalism. Even w/ the hints in eps like Facade and Solitude, they also have made it very clear over the years that Lois is not fond of writing. Her professed love of journalism seemed a little sudden to me. (Don't get me wrong! I'm glad Lois is a reporter, but I was hoping for a bit of a slow build. It's kinda, to me, like Clark waking up one day and saying "I love being a superhero!")

Also dug all of the continuity (in Smallville?!)! Esp. Clark cleaning up Metropolis under the cover of night, Lana's bandage, the mentions of Zod.

Thought JH was cool. He played both scenes well (though I agree that TPTB are playing Ollie more like Bruce, which doesn't really make a lot of sense. They're both billionaires with no superpowers, but their philosophies are quite different.) I think the problem in the last scene wasn't Justin, but the random actor playing his assisstant. SV has a track record of casting poor extras.

I dug the epi overall though. 8/10

I always got the feeling that Lois *isn't* fond of writing. It sort of goes hand in hand with her various characterizations of having poor grammar and being a bad speller. Lois Lane isn't about writing; she's about investigative reporting. She, like Chloe, wants to get to the bottom of things. She wants to uncover the truth. Chloe has the better writing skills, but I believe Lois will prove she has the better drive. Something along those lines.
